The Making of the Password
Length – Please make your password as long as possible! If the system you are using provides you with 20 characters to make a password with, please use the entire 20 characters to make your password. Longer passwords make it harder for devious individuals to crack.
Avoid Dictionary Words – Please do not use words that are found in any dictionary. Do not use words that are plain, simple, or even your name. These words are the easiest to guess and crack. Recent advances in technology that criminals use to crack your passwords scan the dictionary and even simple practical names.
Capital Letters, Numbers, and Symbols – Please use these components in your password! These elements in your password are most effective when it comes to blocking thieves from getting into your account. Use them as much as possible!
Tips to Prevent Intrusion
Multiple Passwords – Please DO NOT use the same passwords for multiple websites! In the case of intrusion, nefarious individuals will try any means of breaking all your passwords with the same password.
Security – Please DO NOT give your password out to anyone! Do not give your password out to anyone. Not even your friends can be trusted. Do not let your trust become your greatest downfall. Moderators will never ask for your password or tell you to change it!
