It's been a frenetic week at XGen; the entire team has been busy painting, moving and assembling furniture and climatizing to our new office space. There is still lots of work to do, and a lot more equipment (Plus a few toys...) yet to be moved in.

We've decided to share a few pictures of our new pad to let you in on the excitement. It wouldn't be XGen without the Helvian (http://www.xgenstudios.com/images/newspost/Helvian.jpg), or without display cases to feature our past and present CD Collections (Check out the wicked digital picture frames!). Skye's personal workspace (http://www.xgenstudios.com/images/newspost/SkyeOffice.jpg) is completed by a classy pre-installed light fixture (from the last tenant's boardroom).

We've also decided to try launching a News Post discussion thread for select threads in the news box; click the link below to post your thoughts/comments/questions about our new laboratory.

On topic: the office looks great and puts XGen right in with the other businesses. Definitely like the office look and the workspace. The Helvian graphic is the coolest part by far though.

Could I get the Helvian graphic as wallpaper for my desktop? That would be awesome.

As for us being on more, you will see me around a lot more im sure :cool: Cant say anything about the other guys. They read the forums but rarely post.

I forgot about the games that they sell. But do people really buy that many copies? Xgen should put a logger on their site to see how many copies each has sold.

Most of those listings were for upper floors, which I guess must be a lot higher. I didn't figure you had nearly that much room, though.

I think they are just on google ads, for the most part. That means they get some kind of per-thousand-impressions rate... They payout will depend on the number of views and the number of clicks. It shouldn't be a fixed amount.

I would be more than happy to come there and work, and so would plenty of others.

I think I am the only one to get past level 2 back when I was testing the game...

Some of the team has never even beat the game legit. We dont get much time sit down and grind out ML levels, busy making other games ;)

I don't think SRPG2 will ever be finished unless they get some new artists and coders becuase probably a huge pertentage of people who go on Xgen and/or there forums really want to play StickRPG 2. And the Xgen team dosent want to lose a large majority of there fans, do they or do they not?

Unless StickRPG 2 is already halfway through completion and they haven't told us anything about it.

Hey, that reminds me!

So 4 months have gone by. Zoom, boom - just like that. Real-life work (as in, my full-time job) has been keeping me very busy and leaves me very tired and drained by the time any free time comes along that would otherwise give me a chance to work on SRPG2. Let's make one thing clear now - I don't have any new material to show you. The last time I updated was, literally, the last time I worked on this project.

But it's always in my mind. I imagine there are lots of people that have come to the conclusion that I have abandoned/forgotton about this project. As much as this project has dragged on it still has lots of potential to do things on a level that aren't touched with other pure Flash games.

I still want THIS to happen...

Unfortunately, I'm simply one of those that wishes there were more hours in the day. Well, I only have to wait a few million years, then maybe we'll gain another hour. The world IS slowing down, after all. I don't think people will be interested in SRPG2 by then though.

Anyway, time she is a wasting - stuff to do! Post laters (not in, like, a million months time)!

He used to update like once every 2-3 weeks. Then every month, then he updated in December 4th, and hasn't updated again until April 18, and now, there is still no update. He might as well pass his progress to someone else, so they can actually finish it....

But yeah, that's me in that picture. However, where you guys got that picture from I have no idea. I hadn't even seen that picture yet myself!

As Jacob already mentioned, my job at XGen consists of drawing a bunch of lines and then colouring inside of them. The hardest part of my job is staying in the lines. It's a tough life, but I make do.

Yeah, last year it hit number 18 on the world's toughest job list. Over 1500 artists suffered from severe paper cuts last year that seriously affected their work performance... I don't even want to get into the matter of how many workers got poked with a #2 pencil. But the industry has begun implementing new safety measures (ie. thimbles are mandatory now), so it's definitely getting better. The job can be rough sometimes, but I love what I do, and I wake up every morning looking forward to the challenges of the day!
