PS2,Xbox, or GameCube

i just had to ask you what your favorite is, for me mine is the gamecube i rote for the underdog, and i love Nintendo and all there licenced games, for me the games are the most importent part. Xbox is the best harwere in my opinion but it lacks in games so far its has HALO thats it. PS2 is a nice combination of the 2 powerfull and has good games.

I have all three systems and I have to say PS2 is the best followed by Xbox and Gamecube for a close third. PS2 has Final Fantasy series which rocks and a LOT of other squaresoft games. Xbox has Halo but that is it. Pretty much no other good games. GNC comes in a close third cause it has a lot of good games but just doesn't really have anything special beside GBA.

Halos alsome! I play a demo for it at my friends house. We always play "bumpercars". (It should be rated teen)But overall I think Game Cube rocks since it is the best for multiplayer.

I picked XBox. Pretty soon PS2 fanboys will be changing their toon, I bet by next summer there will be a lot more XBox's in North American houses. They started out with a pretty weak lineup, with the exception of Halo, and the system had no good games until the release of XBox Live. But E3 was very promising for XBox this year.

Im a big Nintendo fan. So I pick the cube. I does excel in multiplayer but Im really disapointed in its online play.

Im warming up to Xbox though, With Halo 2 comming and Halflife 2 and Project Gotham 2. I was gonna get it, but Im waiting for Xbox2.

PS2... what can I say about that. It ouviously has the most amount of games, good online play, but since it already owns the market(practicaly), so I'm not a fan. I like to see underdogs win.

i think PS2s controller is the worst, i hate Xboxes big controller but i like the small one as for the games, gamecube by far rules. i dont care bought e rated games i like super monkey ball 2, they have zelda and mario, and metroid. and as far as T rated games go mellee is this best fighting game ever

While we're in a debate about controllers, I'd like to add a comment from the Official XBox MAgazine, it's quite funny.... I couldn't find the magzine it was in for an exact quote but it went like this:

I really don't like the GCN controllers, as they are VERY simple, not much analogue control (pressure sensitive) and there's no control stick buttons...which I love.

Well, I personally think teh gamecube is the worst of the three, and it actually is. It's got the least amount of power, and many of it's games are cartoony and meant for little kids. I've played a gamecube, and I can see reasons that it's made for children, Children who don't have 200 bucks to buy a Nintendo.

Nintendo was strong in the beginning, they had the best games, and they were the only way to go until Sega came in, they had better graphics than the SNES, but when the N64 came out, it was the first system I myself have ever owned, and thinking back, it was the worst system ever. The graphics couldn't compare to the Playstation it was competing with (think Mario 64 versus Final Fantasy VIII) and the controller... What were they thinking?

I really liked the PS1, it was really cool. It had some really good games, but a lot of ones I'd never want to touch, which carried on to Playstation 2's way of handling it. Get as many games out as possible, it doesn't matter if they're quality or not, we'll care about the big ones only. And that's how they thought.

I think that Nintendo has enough trust and following to get them through until 2006, but I certainly hope for their sake that their next console is more 'mature'.

Sony knows it's the popular one, and they just want to put out a lot of games, and buy out the successful ones. No other console can use the 'Grand Theft Auto' branding, so the XBox will be getting a game called 'Vice City' not GTA:VC. They also have first dibs on any of Hideo Kojima's (Metal Gear) games, and those will really sell like hotcakes.

Xbox was really the underdog, and I thought it was going to fail the Next Generation console race this round, but to my surprise, I read a magazine, and bought one, I was convinced it would be the best system of the three when it all finished out. Xbox does not have the best games, or name reliability, but they do have the best actual system of the three. It can give the programmers freedom, not having to worry about watering down their graphics for the XBox. I think Microsoft really got lucky with Halo, Dead or Alive, and their other hits, but they're making some bold moves like securing Half-Life 2, Doom III, Counterstrike and some other really great sounding games from this year's E3. I think, in 2006, Xbox will be the winner.

And this new system, the 'Phantom'? What's up with this? It acame out of nowhere, everyone thought it was a hoax, now some people are believing it. I certainly would not buy a console that's online only, too much to pay for. I've got Xbox Live, which is the best online service of all of the consoles.

it looks like a good system, it hooks up to your PC and it aliminates muche of the cost of games because you will download everthin, so for example a 50dollar game will cost 20 because all the opakageing and maketing cost will be alimintaed, we save money and yet the compny makes more money at the same time

Pong, I hate the original pong. It's not THE BEST GAME EVER, it's a very memorable game, and it's a classic. You can't say that bouncing a ball back and forth for three hours is the equivalent of playing Metal Gear Solid through once.

Well, I'd agree with you that finding a free and accurate recreation of Pong on the Net would be better than playing some half-arsed jaggy filled racing game revived from a port off the PS1.
