I recently purchased a book for $6 entitled Hitchhiker: A Biography of Douglas Adams.
After removing all the discount stickers the book looks incredibly good on my shelf, and the content is extraordinary. Douglas Adams is similar to me, but by far more intelligent. I've learned a lot about him in this book.
I must now find the Hitchhiker series collection... does anyone know where I can get these books, or a compilation of the five for relatively cheap?

I borrowed the first one from the library. I'll head over to Amazon at some point and see.

Eh A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, or just the word "Hitchhiker"?

No, just the word Hitchhiker. It was a biography of him, not of the book/movie/radio series/game/tv series.

I suggest trying a "book store", they tend to have pieces of literature.

I went to Chapters, but they actually didn't have it. Very odd. If they did it would be obscenely priced.

My question still. Is it just "Hitchhiker", or " A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"? Yeah try something called a book store, they help alot :P.

Wow...I don't know how you can't find a copy of it! I have about 4 copies of all five in the Hitchhiker's guide series, and two of each in the Dirk Gently series, and a copy of every other book he's written. I love that guy, he was awesome.
Who wrote the Biography of Douglas Adams? I must add that to my collection.

Finally my question has been answered . Yeah I've been trying to get a hold of that book but I haven't had the time to go to any book stores lately.... Man I'm the only oddball here that hasn't read the "Hitchhikers Guide" yet..... :P

Besides JoeyG of course. I suggest you read every book in the series multiple times.
Manupstairs; I suggest you read every book in the series multiple times.
A very good suggestion, there is a test to be given later on Adams collected works.
It's called "Life".
The answer is 42

Actually Richard, I have tests on the books. If you've read them, and want to test your knowledge, go to http://www.funtrivia.com, sign up, and go to boringkid14's quizzes(that's me). I've got 6 quizzes on the first book alone. I really suggest joining this site, you'll learn a lot. RNE, I especially believe you would enjoy it.
And if any of you want me to suggest some other great books, feel free to ask(especially if you're into Science Fiction). Or ask Richard(RNE), he may even give you some of his own work, which is great by the way.
Some other titles by Douglas Adams I'm sure you'll enjoy:
"Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency"
"The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul"
"The Meaning of Liff" (Not a mispelling)
"The Deeper Meaning of Liff"
"Starship Titanic" Written by Terry Jones, based on a CD-Rom released by Douglas Adams. A little more risque than Douglas Adams' usual work.
"The Salmon of Doubt" A tribute to the great Douglas Adams. This book is excellent, you'll learn a lot about Douglas Adams and his life, and you'll get a peek at what he was planning to release next, before the tragic heart attack. He was going to write a third Dirk Gently novel, which also could have been another Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book.

I've seen the TV series, played the text-game, read the first book, and *sigh* the other four weren't in my library.
Douglas Adams is a brilliant mind. I will indeed find the books and read them repeatedly.
I've been reading his biography for about the time it takes me to read one or two average books; I'm maybe a tenth of the way through.
I'm doing all the quizes now.
