I am doing a presentation in my Introduction to Sociology Anthropology and Sociology class. The topic that I chose is "the power of the internet". I am supposed to explain each point of view, but I am also supposed to champion a single side. I was thinking of doing the argument of certain internet sites controlling our lives. So I would talk about things like Myspace/Facebook and how they influence the many aspects of teenagers (mostly), or how our research is affected by sites such as Wikipedia which not always has reliable information, and all the pornography affecting our children. This of course is the anti-internet side, pro-internet arguments would include better communication like email, easier research, etc. Oh yes, I am supposed to provide a few visuals that will be put on the projector. Any suggestions? Am I on the right track for my presentation? Is there anything I should include or delete? etc? Thanks for the help!
