Thought it should be Advice/Help, but it's about the forums so I'm posting it here.

Sometimes when I use the search button for something I know should be there, it comes up with no results.

For example: If I search for "Sig" in Spammerland, I expect to get tonnes of threads... But it shows up with none.

Another example: If I search for "Randomizer" in the Flash Development forum, I'd have thought at least one thread would contain that word... but there are none.

I could go on like this.

Is it a problem with my computer? I've checked all my personal settings and search settings and there isn't anything that should make it go wrong... Could some of you try out the 2 examples I gave to see if it's the same for you? Or is this a problem with the forums?

No, something happened with the database(s) being used by the board which is making the search not work. It has nothing to do with your computer since the board is not hosted on your computer and I've experienced this as well.

Logic is correct it has nothing to do with your computer. Infact it always happens to me when I try to search for something that I know for a fact is there.
So pretty much its a problem with the forum, one of many that'll be fixed sometime in the distant future if ever.

I have the same problem. What I'm angry about is the fact that all this started after the forum got 'upgraded'.

Ok, makes sense.

When XGen upgraded(although I think downgraded fits the shoe a little better), loads of stuff went wrong, didn't think about that.

if i type sig it doesnt find any but when i type siggy it shows a thread with the word sig in it, maybe because sig is to short?

Maybe short words don't quite count?

Yeah, something along those lines.
