I think that every time you gain 10 strength you also gain 1 attack point.

but I think I had 180 strenth and I only had 15 attack points

Maybe strength has to get to a certain point for attack to grow with it.

I just played the game and recorded when the attack points went up one. This is what i found
0 points=> 1 attack point
20 points=> 2 attack points
40 points=> 3 attack points
60 points=> 4 attack points
80 points=> 5 attack points
100 points=>6 attack points
I think you can see the pattern :D

What that means is, you get an amount of Attack points equal to your strength divided by 20 plus 1, to a maximum of 15.
