I'd like to call your attention to the latest news post on the frontpage made by Skye. Apparently SRPG1 will be finally completed. The buildings that are closed and all. What are your thoughts on this?

it has been like a Year Since I Heard
SRPG 2 was being made :( but
Finshing SRPG 1 :D Might be Better
and Probably when SRPG 1 is done
they might realse SRPG 2 in like 2 months
or so.:?:

seems like thay should be focusing their attention on srpg2 and cinderfal. why choose now to finish this project when they have two other things that are higher priorities? not that im complaining...

Well, I, as always, will reply to any post that I have anything to say on in a very odd order, just to confuse you all. :D
Well Danielle, personally, I think it will bring interest on the newer buildings and options for a while, but then it will lull and people will demand SRPG2. This I beleve was a business decision made by Skye and alike, to please the fans. If they can forget about the big picture for a while, they've bought themselves more time. Excellent strategic choice.
I thought they may, with all their say of "it was never finished". Frankly, it could have been called a finished game. The fact that cocain is useless is a good lesson for kids not to buy drugs. As for the closed buildings, so what? It's not like they were needed. It just adds more interest than an empty lot. To be entirely honest with you, I never knew the game WASN'T finished.
doubt that this is their secret. If this is the biggest thing this year, it'll have to be a large step-up from the original game.
It was unwise to say it early. Frankly, it would've been better to announce it just before. If you give everyone a head's up, it isn't a surprise any more.
I do agree, it looks good. Of course my friends have only played and will only play motherload, as they like "you the diggin' game with da little ball thingy". -_-

I'm surprised Skye and team stepped up and finished StickRPG after Skye said the code gave him a headache, ya know?
I see this is as key opportunity to revive the game clubs by making a new requirement for StickRPG. I'd enjoy seeing those groups become popular again. Maybe even discussion forums and new leaders to the groups to make things a bit more interesting?
I'll PM Skye about it.

Wow... StickRPG is going to be finished. Now the games can finally be saved! Now fighting has much lower risks of being knocked out by a pure energy blast and losing everything.

cool, i guess, I wonder when work on SRPG complete began, will that be another year down the road? when they get this complete i hope there's a Cell phone game version, SRPG looks like it would make a GREAT cell phone game, something to do while your waiting for an appointment or just to kill sometime :-)

People, you have to remember, this is on the same engine, this means you most likely wont be able to save. But, this does mean we finally will have different approaches to gameplay other than a caffine-pill addict New Lines CEO. :P
We're just adding a few final features and play-testing the game now. Should be out within the week, save any major issues.

why not release it as a eta so you get tons of people testing it and reporting bugs so. It gets bugs killed faster, and we get to play the new version sooner.

Anyways, it isn't that bad, StickRPG 2 has been anticipated for over a year and Cinderfall has been for about 1.5 years since development of it was halted for StickRPG 2. That fight demo is niiice... if only the enemys moved closer to you so 10x kill combos would be faster and easier to obtain.

You know how estimations of release dates can be 'different then first preposed' especially with xgen. Its not really a big deal, I'm sure if Skye suggested within the week it will come out soon.

if u read the posts Travis said it Done and the testing it there is a bug probaly and they should tell us if there is a big bug

Do they have to tell us everything? I think they'd like to concentrate on actualy getting it done. you may have to wait one week, only one frickin' week. So be patient with it.

Do you think Peter Jackson stopped making the LOTR series and released it when one fan said "YOU TAKE TOO LONG!!!"? No. He didn't. J.K. Rowling won't write book 7 faster than she planned because someone told her to do it. The real fans are patient, and don't care when it's released. They just wait, and are rewarded.
Think of it this way, for every post you make that they have to read and stop to reply to about SRPG2, it takes them that much longer. The more you complain, the longer it'll take.
