Doom 1? get one of the better ones. Doom 2 is awsome and there are codebreaker cheats for it.

The original Doom was the best one.
I wish I could still play it, but it was my friend's.
It was so fun to play.
max_carnage - Graphics don't make a game good or bad.
Some NES and SNES games I've played are infinitely better than these next-gen games.

I play all three of the originals almost daily. If you can't appreciate the classics, you sure as hell shouldn't touch the sequels.

Even today that game is hard, but far from impossible. Take it off of "I'm too young to die" mode and maybe you'll like the challenge.

Some corrections:

God mode is IDDQD
There are other IDBEHOLD cheats, the last letter stands for any one of the seven or so powerups you can get with it.

IDKFA gives all weapons, keys, ammo, armor, and health(?)

IDFA gives you all weapons, ammo, armor, but no keys. Good for the cheater who doesn't wanna ruin the entire level.

There are more, but you hardly need it beyond that.

It strange how game with almost ancient graphic proved to be more popular than the current game with better graphic (I do agree that I liked the original)

Just call me nobody, Doom, Monkey Island, Space Quest. Those three games came out well before the turn of the millenium and yet they bring me far greater entertainment than Halo or Oblivion ever has.

These ancient games have withstood the test of time. Even a decade later they still deliver the fun they started with. I'm sure Halo will do that to and in five years you'll complain about people wanting to play something as "ancient" as a FPS with a mouse and Keyboard

Do they really? I never knew that, and I've played the game for over a decade...
