I have no idea what a pinch harmonic is or why I'd ever use one.

What are your guys' favorite chords?

Mine are the four chords in Pink Floyd - "Wish You Were Here"

----C-----D---A maj--G---
e|--0--|--2--|--0--|--3--|
B|--1--|--3--|--1--|--0--|
G|--0--|--2--|--2--|--0--|
D|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|
A|--3--|--0--|--0--|--2--|
E|--0--|--0--|--0--|--3--|

I got a good bass tab that I figured out on my electric then tried on my uncles bass, I'll PM it to you.

I don't play bass, so it's not too great. But still, it's the song.

I'll probably check it out then improve upon it if needed.

Pinched harmonics are when you play a note with a pick or something, and follow that movement quickly with your thumb or something, and it makes a kind of squealing harmonic-ish sound.
Randy Rhoads used them quite a bit.

Lefty Fender Stratocaster, made in Mexico (just...gah, not the band. Made in Mexico is the suck. I honestly don't know how they keep getting on GH.)

I reccomend looking on googlevideo (because you can't download from YouTube) for "Passage to the Reaper" and find the 16 (or so) minute version.

There are two demonstrations, one of which outlines the examples later on in two or three speeds from fast to slow. Practice those exactly as he plays them - it will improve your fingering hand's ability alot.
And alternate pick xD don't want to kill your strumming hand.

It's a fun exersize to play :) And good songs, too.

Look up some tutorials on youtube... but what you do is turn your distortion up with lots of gain. Then, choke up on your pick with your thumb behind it, leaving half a centimeter of pick showing. You pluck the string on a harmonic spot with your right hand when you play a corresponding fret with your left hand. When you pluck, a little of your thumb should hit the string as the pick does. What this does is split the sound frequencies, so you can only hear the high pitched, squeal, sound. I practiced on the 3rd ( G ) string 12th and 15th frets until I could do it relatively easily. But yeah, youtube is your best bet.

D|--2--|--0--|--2--|--0--|
A|--3--|--0--|--0--|--2--|
E|--0--|--0--|--0--|--3--|

The way I play it, I have two other chords. Not real sure what they are. The first one might be Cm9, and I think the second one is G6. They sound real cool though.
---#1--|--#2---|

e|--0--|---3---|
B|--3--|---3---|
G|--0--|---2---|
D|--2--|---2---|
A|--2--|---0---|
E|--0--|---0---|

These are only in the intro section. I don't know if you play that part or not, but if you do, just play around with those in that part until you find where they sound good. I could explain it to you, but then I'd have to type a bunch more tab, which is not really what I wanna do right now.
Oh, and that's A Minor you have up there.

Pinch harmonics are fairly simple. Turning up the gain helps a lot with the squealing. Find a natural harmonic on the neck...you'll probably want to use the 24th fret(or where that WOULD be if you had one.) THen take your thumb and move it to the tip of the pick, and after you pick the note, your thumb should be right there to hit the harmonic. It takes practice.

Weird chords, dude.

I've had this bass for about 6-7 years and I'm just now learning how to play. This is a really awesome song that I'm teaching myself.

I use Bass Masta too. But if I want a more reliable tab I just use some of these old Guitar World magazines my dad has.

That would be an A minor ,wouldn't it be?? If it was second fret on the B string it would be major.
Anyway yeah Ultimate Guitar and Mx tabs are both brilliant for guitar tabs. :)

Epiphone LP Junior Player Pack. Not bad for $100 w/ amp.

Favorite single chord:

e---
B-8-
G-7-
D-6-
A-7-
E---
AKA 'The Jimi Hendrix Chord'

Don't know if I got it right, I don't have my la guitara with me, but I think I did.

The Hendrix Chord...
A 9th with that top note moved up a half-step.
My favorite chord might have to be a 6th.
