Too bad us forumers don't care about your hobby.
This does seem like something to be put on a blog, no? These are FORUMS.

I don't care if you don't like my hobby, people post stuff about NFL and I don't care about NFL, it's a matter of opinion so don't push your opinion off as a fact.
The fact is this forum is for posting stuff not-related to the site..
What would that be? Hobbies... Music...etc. and that is just what I am doing I could care less what you think of it, it is in the right place and yes I read the rules and I am moderator on one of the most strict BMX forums on the net with nearly a million posts so don't talk to me about what belongs where buddy.
Okay, obviously everyone here is to narrowminded to like my hobby, that is your fault, not mine sorry to say.

You could have made it not sound like a blog post by stating it a different way.
Such as:

Hey guys, it's Geometric. I am an avid BMX rider. Does anyone else here know anything about it?

Here are some of my cool tricks.

It is your fault. Just because the description of the forum is 'Post anything not related to the site' doesn't mean you can post anything. The word 'interesting' is implied when they typed that. And I'm sure plenty of people would have discussed your hobby had you given us something to discuss other than 'I like spinning in circles and stuff and stuff'...that really doesn't open the door to any sort of a conversation does it now? And don't think of saying yes. Because think about it. Would you go up to someone and say 'I like spinning in circles and stuff and stuff' and expect them to have a conversation?

Don't worry. Just try to make threads from now on with conversation potential.

Hell, you guys really are ********. This guy's pretty damn good, with more talent on a bicycle that anyone in here could ever have 1/10th of. And forums can be a blog you know, if it's interesting, and I found this interesting.

Geometric, the videos were pretty cool. I've always wanted to do things like that on a bicycle or a skateboard. I can't even do a bunny hop on a bicycle. Do you have any ramps or anything like that?

Like I said earlier, he phrased the post completely differently than a thread should be worded. He said it more like a "Wow look how cool I am, look what I did today, Xgen is my blog."

Not like a "BMX is a great hobby. Does anyone else share my passion for biking?"

One can start a decent conversation, one cannot. Take a guess which one can.

And you're not a mod here, you're new. So you don't know where what goes where yet.

It doesn't take a genius to know where stuff goes.

Sports stuff goes in Sports Club
Music stuff goes in either the Music Lounge or Music subforums.
Blog posts go in a blog.

Why are we still arguing anyway? He repented his ways.

Yeah, I ride the ramps and do handrails but there really isn't much other people who ride around here so thats why when I do any filming its usually in the driveway or else I have to carry my cam and stuff along.
I used to skateboard but I got bored of it.
Thanks for the positive comment, appreciate it.

So if I can do something, it justifies posting it here? I can ####ing blow you out of the water in a nosepicking contest. Wanna see a video of it?

Nosepicking would be just stupid, Biking has to be one of the most common forms of hobbie/exercise in the world with many different types so I was posting a few videos of me doing it and perhaps someone else might do that kind of this too? I also already apoligized for not being more descriptive in my first post if you didn't already realize... If my post is pointless then explain to me how you making a post about a nosepicking contest in my thread meens anything? It doesn't, if I'm ignorant then as are you.

I was answering someone, making a counterpoint? Doing exactly what forums were meant to be used for? I wasn't making a post about nosepicking. I was using nosepicking as an example to show my point. I could just as well have used duck calls, belly flops or anorganic chemistry. Until you can actually read and comprehend, please refrain from answering.

Biking is one of the most common forms of hobbies and excercise? Yea, because every African and South American child can afford an effing 500 dollar Mountainbike. The chinese use bicycles as a form of transportation, not as a hobby. Or at least I can't imagine itbeing much of a hobby to try to get from A to B whilst avoiding several thousand bicycles, pedestrians and a few cars on your way.

Everybody lighten up bit. I didn't see anyone telling IP 'THIS ISN'T YOUR BLOG!' when he told his 'truck run-over' story. If you are going to do it to one person, do it to everyone.

Not bad bike tricks. I got out of that when I was 12, though.

RdD:
Are you really saying that biking is not a common hobby? Maybe not at older ages, but when people are young biking is a big thing. Who says you have to have a 500 mountain bike to ride around in the street?

Geometric
01-19-2007, 08:11 AM
Many older people do mountain biking as a good way to exercise and you would be surprised at how many people around the world do tricks on bikes, I know a 43 year old who rides the skatepark doing 360's and crap. So that is why I made this thread thinking someone else might be interested in it, already apoligized for not being more descriptive so lets leave that behind us.

He claimed it's one of the most popular hobbies in the world and I merely countered by telling him that most of the world can't afford a mountain bike, meaning it's impossible for it to be one of the "most popular".

If you're going to topple one dictator in unjustified and badly planned wars, topple them all, please.

Just to make a point. I will very well choose who I whine at and who I don't. As opposed to this topic, Ice Punk's had nothing to do with his interests, but something rather shocking that happened to him. I think. I don't remember this thread, which is why I'm going by pure guesswork based on the apparent subject >_>

One could think english is no longer taught.
