is it possible to cut a song using Flash? I mean just make it shorter?

Yes.

Import it
Put it on the timeline
Set it as a streaming sound
Extend the frames to the point you want it to cut off (or press the edit button)
File > Export > Export Movie > WAV

Thanks a lot! I meant just for a movie but I can use that too.. I think.. Yeah but I need to take out the middle part of a song, and it needs to be in the background. I know I can do it a long hard way but I want to know if there is an easy way.

The Edit button is the easiest way for sound editing if you are using frame sounds. If you are going to do heavy editing though, I would revise the sound file itself.

I use acid xPress 5.0, sony. It's free and it does the job.

Check out Audacity as well:

Free, open-source, multi-platform sound editing program. Allows you to tune sounds/music exactly how you want it and it supports a variety of formats. Also lets you add some nifty effects and you can record with it too.
