I'm sure almost everyone here has, but, I'll go for it.
I've experienced death. My younger brother died because of a drunk driver. He was only 11. I remember everything. But I don't really want to talk about it... Maybe later.

Yes. Recently. I don't want to talk about it.
Yes, death.
I haven't died before but my mother's mother did.
Aww well, atleast she gave me $1000 dollahs in her will!

Alright, I am feeling up to talking about what happened with my brother. We were walking across the street, since I didn't have a car at the time. I took him to McDonald's, and he was behind me walking. All of a sudden, I hear a car, and an ear-peircing scream. I look back, and I see the bloody body of my 11 year old brother. Thats all I want to talk about.

Oh.
That sucks.
I haven't really experienced death.
Unless you count my dog.
But that was him being put to sleep.
So...erm...yeah, I got nothing.
My grandmother died a couple years ago on Valentines Day. I wasn't that close to her though, so it didn't hit that hard.
Ruined Valentines Day though.

The only death I've experienced is my greatgrandmother dying a few years ago. She lived overseas and I'd never met her so I don't think it really counts.
She did leave me $1800 though.

Yes, I don't believe anyone hasn't. It's sadly a part of life.

Oh yes, I die all the time. It's quite the experience. You should try it.
That defibrillator was a great investment, though.

My grandfather died when I was little, I've posted the story under the "most painful moments" thread a few months ago. Not a good time for me. Death freaks me out too.

Same here. I had an experience where I developed a huge fear of car crashes to people leaving without me. Lately, it's come back.

Oh yeah. The dieing part is the most awesomest thing in the world. The out of body experiance is kinda erotic though. And the feeling of recarnation.....Orgasmic.
You should try it sometime.
My Grandmother died a year ago, 14 days from today. She had a cerebral aneurysm, which caused her to have a stroke. She was technically alive, but not able to speak or think, really. So my grandfather had her taken off the life support system.

I've gotten hit hard by it. Very hard.
Both of my grandfathers died of smoking while I was alive but before I could even get to know their names. Also, a little bit later, when I was about six, my cousin wasn't looking in both directions when she crossed the road. She was only eight. I was very close with her. Lastly, I've had four dead hamsters over the years.
I'd say that I'm not that afraid of death. If you think about it with my beliefs, it's the pain before it that I fear. The pain of letting all of the people and worldly possessions you know of go, just in time to go peacefully. The knowledge that you're going to hurt those close to you by simply leaving them, and if there are none to hurt, that you've wasted life away.
Yup, I'm not afraid of the time after that one bit.

A close friend got hit by a car while he was riding his bike through a crosswalk, the lady driving went through a red light and he flew 20 feet up into the air and died nearly instantly. It was after his football practice and I was going to see the school talent show... I vaguely remember seeing him riding his bike on my way there and I was probably 30 feet away from him when it happened.
Oh yeah, we went to the hospital afterward.

Haha, I was waiting for somebody to make that joke.
Yes, I have experienced death. I've seen plenty of animals get killed/run over, two of my grandparents have died... and yeah. Also, I've grown up knowing my sister died before I was born.

Yes. Multiple times. The most emotional was when it happend to someone virtually unrelated to me. He was a pole vaulter (senior) that was really popular at school. He had a twin brother who did hurdles. His pole vaulting skills would have made him state champ. I, being on the distance team for Track new him quite well.
However one morning, the day of the cross country confrence (sophmore year), and I noticed our top runner wasn't in too high of spirits (he was a good friend of the pole vaulter). When we got on the bus, my coach told us the fateful news on what happened to the pole vaulter. This kid was a character at school, cracking jokes, doing impersenations, being friendly to everyone... It effected everyone on the bus. We decided to run for him. That day we clinched confrence on all levels.
Later we learned that it was a car crash with a few friends, and the out come of the crash was his death and another alumni's death. Everyone came to school with black to show their respects. The tox report came back later that they had been smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol over the limit.
I hate drugs with a burning passion and will never take them or risk hurting myself and other people.

This one time I fell off an over pass and was run over by a semi. Then this other time, some guy broke into our house and cut my throat.

My grandfather on my father's side.
Of course, the only time he'd ever been in the same room as me was at my bris, and needless to say, I don't remember that.
I also only found out his first name after he was dead, so it was no big loss.

When I was young, around six, My Grampa Emile passed away. I got my tattoo for him, a star. Because he told me one that inside everyone lies a star.
When I was seven, I didn't see my dad for a year because he was in ICU. He had a brain tumor, and during operation he suffered a stroke which resulted in paralysis of the left side of his body. They thought he was going to die, and my mom didn't want me to see him because he was on complete life support. He's fine now, after four years of hospitals.
After ICU, I used to visit my dad all the time in whatever hospital is was in, usually rehabilitation centers where people go when they have terminal cancer, MS, AIDs, paralization, that kind of stuff. I used to make a bunch of friends there, ususally people who rarely see kids so everyone loved me around. As far as I know, every one of those people have passed on. I remember once meeting a lady on her deathbed, really nice old woman, and then I went out to go see my favorite guy in that hopsital, Jean (he's passed on now, I used to make him apple pies and he'd tell me stories). Soon after, a bunch of people rushed by- the lady I just met died a few minutes later.
My Grandma died when I was in grade nine of brain cancer. I was very close to her. At that time, I just moved to Ontario, so I kept taking the train to go see her. Since I missed a month of school going back and forth to montreal visiting her, my parents wouldn't let me go to the funeral.
My uncle, who I had lived with since I was thirteen died three years ago. I still don't feel very comfertable talking about it.
So yeah. Thats my expiriences with death.

2 great grandmothers
1 great grandfather
1 grandmother
1 grandfather
Mutiple fish
A dog
All of those were within the ages of 7-10 (Besides the fish). Didn't really mind most of them. I was only really close to the dog and one of my grandmothers.
As for experienceing death first-hand. I've seen someone in real-life get shot to death. It wasn't up-close and personal though. So that didn't really affect me much either.
