View Full Version : Have YOU ever broken the law?
Lifeless

I just felt like taking a survey of all Xgen, and seeing how many people have broken the law. The poll is private, so nobody will be able to tell that you voted for something.
I don't know.
Nothing I recall but I'm sure I have taken a sample of food when I wasn't soppost to...

Yeah, I have the same feeling. I've done stuff that could probably get me in trouble if it was a perfect disaster with angry people, but if that didn't happen, I think I'm good.
I remember shoplifting once. I was 8, or something close.
I also remember the beating I got that night.

I bet around 97% of the people in America have broken some kind of a law at some time or another. It is just getting caught that so rarely happens....
Yes, I have broken the law. On many, many occasions.
Lifeless

O wait...
I remember shoplifting accidentally, if you can believe that. What happened was, my friend gave me a cool little toy, a little bigger than a quarter, and keeping it in my hand because I didn't have any idea where it belonged, and neither did my friend. So, by the time I left the place, I had forgotten about it (retarded me) and kept it in my hand until I got home, around 2 hours later. Then I noticed what I had done.
Desperation

The worst thing I've ever done that I remember is loitering, and no one really cares about that. Those "Do Not Loiter" signs mean about as much to anyone as a piece of rice with someone's name on it. <Bad use of simile.>

Yes. Vandalism and burglary. (spray painting a few funny things and stealing some signs)
Didn't get caught.
I'm a baaaaaad boy.
Does killing a guy and using his skin to make clothing count?
Illegal Fireworks.
I stole one of those 1 dollar horoscopes from Safeway when I was 4 ><

Once I stole something by accident; I was about five and forgot about it.

Well, of course I've done a few illegal things.
Jaywalking and trespassing are the ones I can think of. Oh, and obviously pirating software and music.

Hmm... gonna have to think for this one.
Underage Drinking
Use of illegal drugs
Vandalism
Disturbing the peace
Out past city curfew
More Vandalism
More drinking.. (They go hand in hand sometimes. =P)
Destruction of public property.
Littering
Jay walking
Loitering
Pirated games/music
Avoiding Police Custody
and.. can't think of anything else right now but I'm pretty damn sure there is more..

Illegal Putt-Putt still wins.
Me and my brother were at St. Simon's Island, and they have a Putt-Putt place. We went there at night, and hopped the 2 foot fence, and we brought our own putter and golf balls. It has one of those big tubes that steals the ball on the 18th hole, so we just caught it with our hand. We had played about two rounds, when these stoner kids showed up, and apparently told a cop somewhere, who showed up on his bicycle. We got a verbal scolding. They got arrested and fined. It was pretty funny.

Loitering
Pirating music
Stealing Other people's Items
Stealing Other people's Money
Underage Drinking
Using someone else's code for Flash 8
Using someone else's code for Sothink SWF Catcher/Decompiler
And, that's all I can remember right now.

-Possesion of illegal drugs (caught)
-consumption of illegal drugs (kinda caught)

-Violating a CAS court order (To go to church. Blawl.)
-Trespassing
-Public nudity (>.>)

The best story is there was this guy who got his house broken into. The thief tried to steal his marijuana and other illegal drugs. So he calls up the cops and is like "This guy is stealing all my illegal stuff and other contraband!" (I don't think he actually use the word contraband)...So the cops show up and arrest 'em both.

I guess I've had some isolated incidents of other things too, like writing my name in ballpoint pen on the leg of a park bench (it was a joke in context, forget it). Jaywalking is something I do all the time, but I hardly even consider that breaking the law.
For the photoshop beta, all you have to do is go to some folder and delete the application.sif file. It'll never bug you to get a legit code again.
Sandals? Ooook.
We were going to a water park. Those sandals got ran over by the lawn mower though.

Man, I mean it's not the worst thing ever (you can get them for free anyways, but it saves babies. If you need it and can't afford it or find any [while putting forth effort to find them], it's just the sexy equivalent to stealing bread for your starving family.)
MIND YOU.
I used to work in a grocery store. And whenever you went into the kids section, it was littered with boxes of empty condoms. People used to get their kicks by stealing the condoms and hiding the boxes in a place where children were looking for toys.
Thats worse than theft. Thats corruption of our youth. And that is an actual crime.
(besides, I would bet my money it wasn't people who were all out of options. I live in a town with one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in Ontario; thus to try to lower it down, condoms are easily available in all the clinics, youth shelters, drug rehab centers, and in the emergancy pregnacy clinics. Not exactly a challenge.)
