View Full Version : So Saddam's dead...
What now? Will anything change? I doubt people supporting him are happy about him dying. I don't think a public death was approprıate for this situatıon. Damn I'll contınue this later, meanwhile what do you guys think?

yeah, people are sympathetic towards him cause of the way they presented footage and the execution. but when you think of him. 200,000 ppl. dont you think you should feel sympathetic towards them rather than the person that killed them all.

It's their own fault for dying.

Not entirely. Sure, they should have a little more sense than to piss off a power hungry tyrant... But that does not mean they deserve to die.

he killed them cause of they're religion. he was hanged for massacring an entire village killing the men and boys because someone tried to assasinate him so it MUST be the boys in this random town. I guess ill keep the girls. after i have total world domination, ill rape them, then kill them. Guards place them with the rest.
Well think of how much people he killed.
Now it's his turn.

Yes, how dare they piss off Saddam by being born Kurdish.
The filthy bastards.
he killed them cause of they're religion.
No, he killed them because they were Kurds, not because they were Islamic, like him.

"You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.' But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, 'You fool!' will be liable to the hell of fire." - God, translated by humans
That is all I have to say.

What, that you're religious?
Yes, yes, it's in the 10 commandments, "Thou shalt not murder", we know.

I wasn't speaking of the Kurds, I was talking about everyone who ever went against him. He would kill any opposition.

Yes, yes, it's in the 10 commandments, "Thou shalt not murder", we know.
However, although the 10 commandments should be followed, following them alone may be incorrect (not sure on that, wait until I'd know where to look to find the answer). The quote is from Matthew 5, in which Jesus restates several, if not all, of the 10 commandments. My quote is not in the 10 commandments.
I'm not saying that I'm religious, in fact, I'd say that I'm not religious, but I could be wrong about that.
I'm saying that the verses I quoted are a good thing to keep in mind while talking about this topic, and I'm saying that I do not have anything to add to them.

Osama is next on the hit list.
Not likely.
"I want justice. And there's an old poster out West, I recall, that says, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive.'" [President Bush, on Osama Bin Laden, 09/17/01]
"I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him... I truly am not that concerned about him."[President Bush, Press Conference, 3/13/02]
Apparently, he doesn't want to go to great lengths to find the man who organized 9/11 anymore. :/

It's also the first of the 5 Precepts of Buddhism. Maybe God sent them a memo too!

Not true, Geowge. Finding a man who is hiding in an entire range of continents isn't easy. He could be anywhere.

Are you saying what I inferred from direct quotes from the President of the United States is inaccurate?
He said: "I truly am not that concerned about him."
I inferred:"He doesn't want to go to great lengths to find Osama."
lol i make no sence ma inferashunZ!1
I said "great lengths", not "itz rly eZee y isnt he dooin it?!".

Osama should have been the only person on the hit list. Though Saddam was a horrible person, he at least kept a sort of order in Iraq. We had no business going there. What we should have done, is concentrated our forces in Afghanistan, to find Osama, and then focus on our internal problems instead of playing world police.
We talked about this in my class before, I mean the US ( and canada I guess I'm not trying to blame them) tried to use their own culture to help them, ignoring Iraq's own way of doing things. Sure he deserved to die, atleast they allowed the Iraqi Government to deal with the trial, I respect that. But still. Religion starts wayyyy too many wars.

Because there are so many hangings over in the US, right?
And of course capital punishment is inexistant in Iraq.
Try thinking before you post.

If I misunderstood your post, it's because you weren't coherent enough, try rephrasing it, so that it doesn't have so many shades of meaning (:

Who here knows Charles Ghankay Taylor?
Everyone who so enjoys Saddam's death as a good thing and a gift to the world without being able to recite at least 6 african dictators that nobody on this godforsaken planet gives a #### about may now consider themselves manipulated and their opinion completely worthless.
Religion starts wayyyy too many wars. What religious war? Do you like reaching up your ass for facts?

I don't really think the fact that he's dead changes anything. There are still other evils in the world, and the death of one does nothing to silence them.
One down, over a million to go, plus about 6 more born every second >_>. Go us.
