man i think there is nothin wrong with it... i've picked up a couple hitchhikers before.. never someone that was goin a long way.. and never by myself.. but as long as you do that you'll be alright

acctually it is really risky casue it could be some escapee from prison and he would might kiil u all. see what i am saying?

It SHOULD be save, and it is only decent to pick them up. In a truely civilized place it would be save and expected. However reality does not live up to the ideal. In the real world hitch-hiking can easily turn into hijacking.

I recall a funny picture - it showed a sign that said: "Do not pick up Hitch Hikers. They may be escaped inmates." The sign looked like someone shot it several times.

50 years ago, it would of been ok to pick up hitch-hikers, but now, Society has simply changed for the worst, and you really cant trust strangers anymore.

Think about it, in the fiftys people left there houses unlocked, their cars unlocked, and simply trusted people to do the right thing. Also there was a lot more interaction between neighbors.

I know... in all those old movies, all the doors are always unlocked.... Today, ppl not only lock them, but they have guns and alarm systems too...

30 years ago u could pick up anyone (except for the few bad people) but now u cant yes there are a few good people but most people now hitchhikers arnt actually hithhikers they just wanna get in your car and shoot u down and take your car

this reminds me of an old game i played , u pick up a hitch hiker to make some money, one day u pick one up he holds a gun to u u lose all your money, it is risky thinking the reason why ppl hitch hike is because the got there license taken away for being reckless
