PC or MAC

Ok first of all, im with PC all the way. I keep hearing that MAC is so user friendly, But for me Its 100x more confusing than the PC. The reason i think the PC is so much better than the MAC is because its has so many more games, its A LOT faster, alot more powerfull, and like i said not as confusing.
Anyways I saw a comercial and they have a new MAC called the G5. They say its the "most powerfull computer in the world".

They always claim it's the mosot powerful.... so they charge $5000 for it when could probably get a better pc for $2000

I voted for Mac. As someone who will (ideally) be going to school for some graphic design classes shortly here, I would surely prefer a mac over a PC. Macs can out 'media' a PC any day.

However, I only use PC at home, because well, as you said, there are games and such. There are a lot of things that can just be done easier on a PC.

Mac is much better, thought for cost reasons, and fun reasons, I like custom built PCs with linux running them. Mac OSes all probably have a kernel recompiled just for the system, and so does linux. In fact, I custom tailored my system on a pII laptop, and it runs faster than a overclocked pIII running XP.

OMG! You don't have anything against microsoft? Other than the fact that Windows crashes every 1 hour? Windows XP, it's newest, has more bugs then DOS?!

GOD, Microsoft wipes out smaller companies, moniters every movement of the goverment using their software, use the free code from opensource projects, the sues them, makes other people sue other people, the list goes on and on.

Mac is much better than Microsoft. ALOT!

Of course, the same can't be said about free, opensourced, linux!

i like mac's better i have not used one in a while, i want to get one, But as someone else said i use a pc for the better games, it's bad that bill gates stole the OS from a mac and pretty much put it on a PC, i know it's not the main reason for mac going down but damned near i cannot belive that Bill Gates and Steve Jobs (founder of apple comuters) where friends at one time, Bill stole it out from under steves nose and the rest as they say it history...

He didn't take the mac. The programming is totally different.... But what he did do is find out that 'user-friendly' interface and decided to use it.

The first 'user-friendly' Windows actually ran off of DOS, so that's why Windows 95 was fairly stable

I am going to have to second my vote for macs, even though you don't get to vote twice. I say this because I have spent the last two hours trying to install camera onto my computer, and it still doesn't work. Keeping in mind that it worked perfectly well before I reformatted.

That makes me long for a mac, where you get the camera, put one end of the cord in the unit, put the other in the computer, and the mac goes "Hey, camera. Cool." and I can use my camera.

The new ones don't even come with a one button one, or any one anymore...

You have to be pretty stupid, then. Going to shockwave.com and downloading Flash. Not sure how you use a PC...

And if an OS is designed to be one buttoned, I see no reason why that's bad. My 5 buttoned mouse has a "Back" and "Forward" button, which I'm addicted to.

My grandparents gave me their iMac with it's blazing 64 MB if RAM and it's mighty 6GB hard drive. I thought I'd make it into a fish tank, but I've grown to love Macs. But yeah, they're hella expensive for what you get.

You mean the GUI, and the Mouse? That was Xerox. The PC is made by a multitude of companies. It's the OS that is generally the common denominator.

And do you hate GNOME because it looks like an Apple GUI?
