Regarding Stick RPG 2

For the last time, everyone: They'll release it when it's done. That date isn't going to change because you complain about it. This forum is for discussion about SRPG ONE; if you want to talk about 2, well, too bad. You guys lost that ability when you forced us to close the SRPG2 board.

Well since it is my first day back here I might as well post the same suggestion I did before. HIRE MORE STAFF TO POLICE THE SRP2 FOURM! It's not like you can't hire enough people to do that. You know if you had some brains you could also make it so people who post 3 (or 2 times if you wish to be strict) be automatically banned for the day. All but spammer land of course. You could just start the srpg2 fourm over again. As in deleating ALL the posts and topics there and then unlocking it (after you place a warning topic about the spamming restrictions). If you can't find it in your "power" to create an auto ban system then just hire more people. Can't do that then you shouldn't be part of the staff. Since srpg2 has finally started development I believe it would be a GREAT idea for you to get off your lazy bumble bees and finally open the SRPG2 forums again, OKAY?!?!?!

Buddy, we don't "hire" people. We're all volunteers. As such, there's a marked shortage of people qualified to do the job. We can't just go to a temp agency and say "Yeah, we need some moderators, send us a few"; we pick people up from inside the ranks here, and you know what? There's maybe three or four people that might actually make decent moderators, and we'd need at least TEN to keep SRPG2 clean.

If you want the short version: You're completely ignorant of what you're talking about, and I'd like to offer you some cheese to go with your whine.

Thousands of people? I highly doubt that one thousand people actively post on the forums. I don't even think I can name 100. And to find ten moderators out of one hundred is fairly difficult to get the results (performance of the moderators) you were hoping for.

I don't even know why people want the StickRPG 2 forum open. There's not much to chat about aside from the new towns, besides the millions of ideas submitted every month (which, as a fact, usually turns out that only one of them were good).

Meh, most people couldn't make good mods, but there are a select few that could easily be, but its hard to tell when people normally look out for spam, not good posting/eqillete(How do you spell that) I don't think anybody is perfect though - Mods double post occasionaly too, but they can delete their posts

Yes there honestly is not way to discern a good moderator from a person who seems to be one. I'm sure everyone would want to be a moderator and many have suggested increasing their ranks, but right now the currents are doing their jobs well. The only thing a new moderator could do is lower the amount of time spam remains on the boards, if no other moderator is present.

If people know what is good for them, no, they won't. If they do, they will be warned. If they persist, it will usually end in a banning or another warning until they stop.

can you be patient darkdemon. u know how hard making games like these? i tried to make a myst like game and it sucked like hell. they only have 5 people in there crew. you have to make sure everything works fine and animations not glichey and make sure theres no bugs in it, ect. i dont want to flame u because it will lead to a huge fight then ill be banned, you be banned ,and this thread will be locked. y dont u go play the completed version of stick rpg1

I made a pretty cool stick rpg like game with swish max. It was cool but it was a free trial.

I tried to set back the clok for more time and it froze up and deleted my stuff :(

...has no reason to be out in 2004. Sure, it could come out, but then it wouldn't be that great, there would be glitches, and even more people would whine compared to delaying it. You try coding a game. Tell us how far you got before giving up.

in srpg2 there should be an option to sleep for an X amount of time and work out/study or watch news/ drink or smoke or watch date channel X many times so you dont have to continue to click up and down. there should also be txas hold 'em or for the black jack a bar where you can just type in the amount you want to bet because even when betting 1,000,000 with the tab till it highlights 500 and holding enter takes a while. and there should be multiple games so u can have a good and bad karma level and in alternate cities the options to make friends and call them on the cell phone and them give you certain tips or something and the option to buy houses in other cities and other jobs

Excuse my sudden bitterness this week, maybe the past one, but this constant pestering of the admins is getting a bit out of hand, and I know this without even being an admin. I think they'd agree with this.

Nobody was never a noob, but there are people who weren't "n00bs" and lots of them. there's a subtle diffrence between the 2 words, but trust me, "n00bs" are worse, the ones who refuse to read faqs, or ever just keep at it for another 5 mins. Maybe you'll get the car hotwired with another 3 intellegence? No, never! I need to ask people when there plenty of other threads with the awnser.
