Eat ONLY the biggest fish. Even if you see ones smaller than you, only go for the ones that are almost exactly the same size as you... otherwise you're screwed when you reach level 7->.

I reccomend that eat biggest fish you can and some smaller fish i you have to but never eat the litter orange dots and i ALWAYS turn off the music

I've beaten the game. It's not that difficult after a few levels. Once you fill the screen you don't even have to move, since anything that runs into you gets eaten.
