It fills up as you make more posts.

the more posts you make, the higher it gets. the word directly below your name is related to it. it increases on certain numbers, say 100, or 50, or 10000. new posts, new 'rank'

agreed. mostly it's to look special. people don't actually consider you a good frequent poster unless your posts make complete, absolute sense. that is how many people in the forums (very many too many to name) seem so highly respected. they earned it.

i really think that is another word we should abolish. 'noob' has somewhat died due to recent events. so should 'vet'. it's like racism to the posters.

"noobs" are newcomers.
"vets" are experienced posters.
much more appropriate.

And the experienced posters "expos"

i don't know, the shorter we make it, the less dignity it seems to have. then people would shorten that to "exp"s and "newc"s.
then someone may go around saying "nuke the newbs" or something awful like that. the longer it is the harder it is to insult.

I think once it's totally filled, it starts filling again with blue too, but thats with craploads of posts :D

it begins very dark gray. then as you post, it lightens in stages. then when that is full the light gray becomes the background fill, and the blue is the front. i don't believe anyone has spent enough time to post beyond that.

i don't know how many posts he has; a lot. about 25000 isn't it? anyway if it is further than that it may require say, 100000. then perhaps it turns red.

Nope. The Mods have it full, supposedly, and it's just blue. I don't think it get's any higher after you've filled it blue.

well the mods have it 'full' i believe to show some authority, because honestly, even though we'd all like it to be non-judgemental; you will listen to them or a good poster over some opinionative first timer. i'm not sure if it gets higher. because not all moderators have full-blue capacity. maybe it gets different with "super-moderator", xgen?

Perhaps once you're a mod then you automatically get a full blue bar. On BZP Mods get full proto. Perchance thy system work the same? :D

perhaps or "definately". the moderators have less posts than i yet have a full bar. it shows respect.

*nods* Yes, the sign of a full blue bar is the mark of a great being, likewise a being of great power, to be able to take over the computer to post so much :D. I look at the rank rather than the bar, but that's due to an affinity to BZP.
