View Full Version : Didn't know where else to put this...
How do you write a letter of resignition (quiting)? This would be nice to know soon.
Depends. You can be uber formal, or semi-formal.
Either way, start off with who you're writing it to, be very specific in the date it has been delivered, and the date you'll be leaving.
You can talk to your boss about the why's (don't include that in the letter, beyond a sentance tops).
I understood that, but not the last part, (don't include it, but do?) Rephrase please.

Also, be sure to submit the letter 2 weeks before you intend on quitting.

Here's how one person informed another that they wouldn't be getting hired:
Dear Andrew
Thank you for submitting your application for the role of Mozilla
Maintainer.
We regret to inform you that your application was not successful.
However, we would like to wish you much luck with your future career
ambitions.
Kind regards

I dunno if you can get anything from that, but it's an example of professional letter-writing.
Yay I pulled it off! Thanks guys, I'm once again, job-less! YAY
