CSP's New Game

Hey.

NOTICE: please read everything before playing the game, otherwise, you will have no clue whats going on.

Me and EMC are making, and are almost done with our new game. I need some help from you guys. No, not with actionscript or anything. I need help with ideas, beta testing, and such.

This a Beta Test for everyone. Please report any Bugs you find. Also, this game doesn't have a name. It needs one really bad :? Well, First, since its just a beta, and there isn't a title screen or instuctions, You need to know the instuctions.

The game is pretty simple. The cannon shoots balls and you cant let them touch the ground. If they do, you lose a life. Also, when a ball hits a wall or your paddle, it will get redder and redder. If it gets too red it will explode and give you 5 points. Also, there are blue balls, Which get yellower and yellower, and when exploded, give you an extra life. That's pretty much it.

So, report any bugs, and PLEASE give suggestions. and, this poor game needs a name.

ALSO: the play button is a little tricky to click... sorry!

when there is more than one ball in the field, and you hit one, the both ov them get redder/yellower.

Uhhh, thats, actually, not true! Remember: they get redder when they hit a wall OR when they hit your paddle. you must have mis-saw. (thats correct grammar is it...:( )

The "balls alive" Doesn't seem to work correctly..Never shows the correct number after like..the first ball...

cool game. really simple. u get too many lives though. Maybe I just didn't play long enough and didn't get to harder stages.

Yeah, That's probably why, but I do partly agree. I will make it so you start with one or two less lives.

Make it start out a lot harder... It's kind of boring for a few minutes and by then I just want to quit.

The graphics could be better but pretty fun game also the texts are all way off

Hmm, I know. That's because you don't have the font We're Using... Everyone go download Kroftsmann from http://www.dafont.com ! No, just kidding, we might change it. Thanks for the comments everyone! Now, if i could have suggestions for the game that'd be great. Like new ideas n stuff.

I didn't think fonts mattered in flash..i thought thought it just made them into images anyways...

I didn't read what other people put because I don't have time, so I am just going to state the problems that I noticed.

The #'s don't fit on the red bars correctly, the sound effects are off (ex: when you get an extra life, when the balls shoot from the cannon, things like that), when an extra life ball hits the floor the "balls alive" counter still shows it as alive and you don't loose a life for it either.

Actually, the font doesnt matter. Even if the person doesnt have Kroftsman downloaded on their computer, it still works.

Well, that's not true, i asked people "Is it a all caps, really thick font" It might be there browsers... Unfrortunately... it does matter :(

Well, it doesnt. I know this for two reasons:

1. It looks the same on my other computer which doesnt have that font.

2. At the end of Tropical Awakening, there is a link to Xgen and Dark said he didnt know if the G was an S or and F or something like that.


The score however, is some other font, not kroftsman, so that might be what they were looking at.

A quick fix to this problem is to embed the font. It increases the size of the file but is worth it if you feel that the font is really needed.

i thought flash embeded the font anyway, if you use a dynamic text box

If you use a static text field, Flash should embed the font (in theory). If you use an input or dynamic text field, Flash does NOT embed the font by default.

when I was on level 4, with a score of 360, balls stoped comming for like 1 min., then like 8 balls came at once. You should spread them out more.

Ya, thats an early version of the site. I would have updated it, but Ive been in D.C. (If you want to end a sentance that ends in something like D.C. do you put another period?) So, I didnt get a chance to do it because it all needs to be uploaded and then pages have to be made.

Actually, I'd say yes on that one. Otherwise, his question would look something like this: "I've been in D.C. So, I didnt get a chance to di it because......" And then he's capiTalized in The middle of A sentenCe. and Thats jUst nOt ProPeR.
