To take a screenshot, on the page you want to take a pic of, press the 'print screen' key above the 'insert' key. Goto like paint or some other photo editing program, and press controll-v.

To post a screenshot, go to like www.photobucket.com and ulpload the pic, then copy and paste the url.

another meaning for use is exploit, so using your position in your place of business, (which technically is a 'job'), you can exploit the poeple within, examples aren't needed, unless you are to stupid for a job in which case you can't use what you don't have.

you can use an entire school in the same way, the principle could get an entire group of children to raise funds for a charity, the principle being evil there is none and he keeps it. that's using a lot of people, who just so happen to form 'a school'

in the meaning he meant, no. in any meaning, yes.

by the way, i think this game is really good, it just drags on a lot. 9/10 for xgen.

Then you would still be using/exploiting the people, not the job.

You can however "use" a job. You work in order to earn money. You technically use that job as a method of earning money. But no one says "use a job". That would be called "work". That's like "regulating the electricity running through a light bulb". You don't do that, you turn the light on and off (or dim it).

He is a snowman that doesn't melt. Yet snowmen melt. To be a snowman that doesn't melt means to be a snowman made out of something that doesn't melt. Since everything melts at some temperature or another, it is impossible to me a non-melting anything. You may now disappear in your own paradox.

wood is a mixture, but if you took wood apart, you could melt all of the elements individually.

DarkReality
12-30-2004, 08:00 PM
Wood is organic material. Before wood melts, it actually falls apart into separate components. This is of course assuming you manage to do this without burning it. And it's all theoretical, I don't think anyone's ever melted wood. Maybe you could cook it and rapidly heat it up before the water boils away, that way it won't burn... dunno... Melted wood would be cool.

We're all talking about melted wood, which apparently does not exist, according to bodadem's link.

Snowmen only melt if the tempature rises higher than the melting point of snow. *cries because the snow melted a couple of days ago* Oh well. We all know that PEOPLE type these messages on their keyboards, and it is safe to assume that snowmen do not type, as they are inanimate objects, no? I guess you could call melting 'moving' in a way, but is that voluntary?

Whoa! Talk about everything getting off topic you are all talking about a pointless subject about wood melting (or not melting) :? . Now wonder how did this all begin. By bodamen saying "go melt" to some guy ( or girl ) and then went completly off-topic about what melts. The "real" subject was about StickRPG not wood melting.

Anyways tried it. It seems almost immposible, because at a certain point the enemies get way too strong and since you can`t go to Gym you will die. Getting beer takes money you don`t get enough when fighting.
Still fun, though. I give it 8/10.

1.Wood and stickRPG are pretty unrelated unless in stickRPG2 you can really get that bat.....

2.I learned more in this topic then I ever have in science....Thank you

Anyhow... Playing stick RPG without school or work like a hobo proved to be to ruitine for me! However if you gamble in the casino you can make a fortune off one fight if you are good enough! It was fun so I will rate it to! 7/10

Another thing to find out if wood can melt let's define wood!

wood1
n.

The secondary xylem of trees and shrubs, lying beneath the bark and consisting largely of cellulose and lignin.
This tissue, often cut and dried especially for use as building material and fuel.

A dense growth of trees or underbrush covering a relatively small or confined area. Often used in the plural.
A forest. Often used in the plural.
An object made of wood, especially:
Music. A woodwind.
Sports. Any of a series of golf clubs used to hit long shots, having a bulbous head made chiefly of wood, metal, or graphite, and numbered one to five in order of increasing loft.

v. wood·ed, wood·ing, woods
v. tr.
To fuel with wood.
To cover with trees; forest.

v. intr.
To gather or be supplied with wood.

adj.
Made or consisting of wood; wooden.

woods Living, growing, or present in forests: woods animals; a woods path.

out of the woods Informal

That really doesn't help much does it? not a good definition....

I like SRPG and would rate it a 9/10 since it is addicting and fun, but the two unfinished buildings make me feel that the game could be a lot better.

Wood is made of plenty of elements, and could melt easily if separated into them, but it can't melt without it.

Wood and SRPG are not related.

Snowmen can melt.

You can't melt organic things without breaking them down into elements.
But, if we could do that, we could put elements together and make anything we want- or can we? Could life be created via this spontaneous process? Or is biogenesis the only way? The mystery of science grows deeper as we slowly are sucked into the unfathomable vortex that is knowledge...

in burning wood you are actually melting it, only all of the elements individually. the carbon in the wood usually ramains solid because it has such a high melting point. teh water not only melts but it evaporates so it goes from solid to liquid to gas. also you would not have to separate it in to its basic elements, you would only have to separate in to compounds. water can melt and int is not an element it is a compound

Sperry

The reason why no one's "melted" wood as you mean is because it catches fire before the wood itself can reach the liquid temperature.

Not everything in science is logical. It may seem weird that wood doesn't melt, but here's another tough problem: how come Hydrogen (an extremely flammable gas) and Oxygen (a neccessity in making a fire) combine to form water (which puts fire out)? That one has always puzzled me.

Feel free to try and explain that one to me. I can't figure it out.

P.S. I don't think I made any spelling mistakes!

ok all u scientists cant figure this one out... :?

put the wood in a place where there is no oxygen, and heat it to its melting temp, which is higher than its burning temp but since there is no oxygen it cant burn :D

Justin
03-29-2005, 12:37 PM
Wood won't melt. What will happen is a series of anarobic (see: no oxygen) reactions that will produce various gases like methane, ethane, ect, and leave behind a solid carbon residue. If you heat it hot enough, the carbon will vaporise as well. It will appear like it's burning (well, no flame, but it will turn black and break up), and you will be left with flammable gases above and carbon soot below. Also, there would be a small amount of combustion since wood contains some oxygen compounds that would degrade and react with the carbon-based compounds.

It's similar to the process of coal gasification that was used in to 1800's to produce coal gas for streetlights, and is still used today in some applications.

Based on the use of the verb 'write', conjugated by tense to 'wrote', the tense of 'is' should follow suit, becoming 'was'.
