View Full Version : Job
I am going to get a Job so that I can actually get some decent money other than biking.
Choices are either Safeway which pays about 10 dollars and hour or a bike shop which pays about 8 an hour.
The thing is that I love biking.
The 2 dollars an hour would make a HUGE difference after a while but like I said. I love biking and working there would be about as close to doing what I love as I can get in a job.
Hahlp meh.

Well, you'd prolly perform better at the bike shop, you having expertise in biking.
You'd prolly be a better employee there, which means that you'll be valued and you /might/ get raises, etc. Plus, you'll be less stressed knowing that after school you won't be /that/ bored.

Thats what I thought at first but the problem is that its a very small company so I think raises would be extremely hard to get...

Do not go with Safeway. I've had a terrible experience with their branch of Vons in California. Stick with the bike shop. To get a raise at Safeway takes several years.

The cow says take the bike shop.
If you're actually working alongside the owner, you will always have a better experience than if you're a mindless jerk asking "Paper or Plastic?"
I think it'd also look better on a resume. You'll enjoy it more, at any rate.
Must. Obey. Cow.

Seriously though. Thanks for the advice everyone.
I guess I'll take the bike shop.
