The school year's only begun, but I can feel the stress piling on already. As a senior in high school, I'm taking some of the most difficult classes I possibly can, and on top of that, I'm re-taking the SAT and applying for colleges this year. Is there any possible way I could find a pressure valve for stress?

I find that screaming really loudly and punching random things makes me feel better.
Everyone has their own way of releasing stress.
You just need to find yours.

I sounded like some stress releif video right there...

Make sure you do something you enjoy every day. Don't let the work pile up, so much that you haven't got time to do anything else. Doing something enjoyable after a hard days work will allow you to blow some steam.

I always hit the bathtub if I'm having a stressful day.
Wicked hot water does alot for tension and stress.

Rape young boys. Great stress reliever.
I agree with Prod, a nice, warm bath really soothes your muscles, and relieves tons of stress.

Do you have any female friends who would be willing to be 'pressure valves'? 0.o
I sometimes need to lock myself in my closet and just let myself blank out.
1. Smoke weed.
2. Get a ATV.
3. Fight people.
4. Get a easy-going girlfriend.

what you can do is put a pillow up to yourself (mouth) and scream as loud as you can. it might relieve stress. i think it would work.

Being under some similar stress, I do have some advice. I set aside 30 minutes everyday to do something that pleases me. And only me. Not for anyone else, and not for anything that will benifit me in the future. Something that just makes me feel good and relax.

Well, it is simple really. Just find something that relaxes you. In my own knowledge of you, maybe you should go out for an hour with your camera and see what you come across.

Ban everyone. Problem solved. ;)
Just take it easy. Take your time. Be concerned about your grades, yes, but there's no need to outright worry about them. Probably quite a few times, the work will pile up, but that's alright because you can compensate with some of the time you spend doing other activities. However, be sure not to use all of your time for work... having some fun during the week will surely help your mood.

do something dangerous. Something that scares you, bungee jumping, parasailing, driving over the speed limit. Anything. Taking risks and pulling through them will give you a sense of acomplishment that will take away the stress of school.

I think AR has some pretty good advice in this thread.
From checking out your Deviant Art a few times, you seem to like photogrophy, and that can be a pretty relaxing thing. You have to concentrate on the picture at hand, otherwise it will turn out poorly. An almost "zen" like state.
It depends on the person. I know a lot of people that can't relax until all their work is done. After getting some homework, they lock themselves in their room for a few days until everything is done. If you try to get them to do anything before this, they'll be miserable and can't stop thinking about their homework, etc.
On the other side, some people need to be relaxed and calm before they can do their work. If you're this type of person, find something relaxing (again, photogrophy?), and do that when you can, and when it's appropriate.
It really depends on the person, but having some alone-time goes a far way for me. For other people, maybe they want to go out with friends. Try to find out what works for you, and what type of person you are. Then do it when you can. /vague.

You're looking at it the completely wrong way, you don't need any quick releases, what you need is just a steady flow. Make sure you balance everything. I've been able to get into that balance where I have practically no homework at all because I am able to do it sometime during the day.
You need to make sure you only spend a few hours AT MOST working on school stuff at home, and use the rest of the time to relax.
The work time at home should be used for major projects or essays that require the use of the computer or large amounts of time bunched together. Whenever you have less than the normal amount of work, start studying for your next test or quiz, or do whatever you need to then.
During school is when you should be able to do a fair amount of daily, simple homework. Bring both the book for the current class and a book for another class with you and keep the other book open to what page you need, then whenever you have little bits of time that you don't need to be paying attention (don't kid yourself, that happens alot, you don't need to just sit there when you're done copying down that section of notes). Then, finish it up before school, during lunch, or whenever you have a short break.
Also, make sure you have a good bedtime. If you feel you need to extend it for whatever reason, just think about how good it will feel to get into your cozy bed, and it should make you want to stick to that bed time.
Seriously, don't overload yourself with classes. If you end up taking so many hard classes that you start doing worse at them, what's the point of even taking them?
Senior year is supposed to be the year that you get to truely decide what you enjoy. You've finished up most of your requirements, and now it's time to begin to decide what you want to do with your life. If you want to be a photographer, and you're taking AP Physics or whatnot, that doesn't quite make sense. Though you might not be able to decide exactly what you want to do, you can probably at least find a general direction to go in.
Well, that's my suggestion anyways.
