whats a warning?

well i see in some prfiles (were it tells you the posts etc) that some people has something called warnings, what that suppose to mean?

It means they did something bad.

Three warnings gets them banned.

Well, first of all, I moved this to the Newb's Help Forum.

I think it's kind of self-explanatory. We have warnings and bannings. When you spam, flame, or use bad language, (among other things) you receive a warning. Three of those result in a banning. In extreme situations, you may receive a banning. It all depends on the severity of the situation.

Warnings cannot temporarily be removed. Also meaning, they can be handed out, but not deleted.

Thus, you should be very careful what you post ;)

I've had my warning for over a month. I asked Liokae if he could remove it, and he said warnings cannot currently be removed.

Oh well. I don't plan on getting warned again anytime soon, so I'll live.

Yeah; the card system we have for warnings just adds a yellow card when we hit the warning button. Before, we could edit the exac t number of cards through a moderator control panel, but we don't have that control panel any more; ergo, we can still *add* warnings, but we can't change the number you have to a specific amount, which is how we removed warnings.

And it's so difficult to create a button which "adds" -1 warnings? o.O Not that I want to complain, but I'm perplexed as to why there hasn't been a "delete warning" option added for mods. It's like giving police the ability to put you into jail, but not out of it again. More or less.

I've had my warning fer like..3 months, about, i think. I don't mind it, though..Kinda grows on ya after a while.
