Ewww! Yucky spam!
And, if you want to make a game in flash, of course you have to have flash. You don't have to have flash Mx though. Theres flash 4,flash 5,flash MX, fkash mx 2004, and flash mx 2004 pro.
There are other ways of making games, such as java, or c#.

I'd personally recommend C++, Then again, that requires a bit of an investment. If you want something to fool around with, Delphi or Visual Basic are two candidates. if you want something you can build on and do serious things with, Java's a good start into Object oriented Programming, and can do quite a bit as well.

Or, instead of C++, try C#... its newest version

I tryed starting at java a while ago..but I wrote this program...im pretty sure its all right to go..but I have to download all those programs to compile it..then I need somenthing else to run it on..and..I dunno..I have the damm "test.java" for 3 weeks now and im still searching what am I missing to make the "test.class"...
I took a look at some C tutorials as well..its pretty much the same as java as far as I went..just with a diferent ..huu..objective..I dont know how to say..
I want to know what do I need to start on thos elangs(compilers, programs...), and where I can find those..tutorials I can find, but they usually skip this "I have no idea where I write those on.." part..

Not very good for making games though. Great for quickly making applications.

Hm... Probably a lot harder that way. Cool though.
I look forward to learning Java next semester myself... That's a nice powerful language.
