www.actionscript.org/tutorials
www.kirupa.com
Check those two sites, go through their tutorials, and then you'll know quite a bit more.

.....Then give up. If you're not willing to put at least SOME effort in to try to understand what's in the tutorials, we aren't going to be willing to teach you.

Is that not what he' asked for, basic tutorials.
Don't give up keep trying.
Try look through the flash samples, try making movies first and keep going before trying scripting, familiarise yourself with the tools and effects you can do, belive me its more rewarding to make a good movie than be frustrated with a bad game. Then move onto scripting start off at www.flashkit.com and read through and try all the beginner tutorials. When you've done that try remaking them from your own memory and then move on a level.

I'd recommend going here (http://www.w3schools.com/flash/default.asp) to start off. It has basic animation methods in flash, and will help get you used to working in flash.

u should practice with animation before going into scripting.
after that u'll brobably fool around with smaller codes involving the timeline(play(), gotoAndStop(), ect...)
then u will move onto buttons and gradualy get into scripting.

Once again, go to w3schools.com (the link in my last post), and you will learn basic animation, and it also has a good explanation of how to make buttons. w3schools is better for just starting out because unlike most sites, it assumes you have very little or no knowledge of flash.

SWF (ShockWave Flash)
When you publish the file or test it, a SWF file will appear in the same directory as the FLA.

try putting the url in the right tags.
your_url
insert the correct width and height yourself.

well..it is correct..even if copying and pasting isnt half the work..you gotta read throug the code and understand it, so you can learn somenthing out of it...cos all this copying and pasting doesnt help you very much when you r trying to develop somenthing..
