Two words: Get Firefox. If it blocks a popup, click the bar at the top of the window that appears. Then click 'show whateverpageitistryingtoload'

Well that really solved his problem.
Chances are the server was overloaded. A problem with the game (or maybe flash in general) is that it cannot show it's connection status and it's interaction status with the server, meaning it could be working and you could have no idea. As said, the server was probably overloaded.
If it continues happening, see if you have a firewall at home. Schools usually do. If you do at home as well, then it could be that the firewall is simply blocking communication and not telling you that it did so.

I doubt that it's a popup blocker, as saving happens in-game and doesn't open a new window. To be honest, I have no idea what the problem could even be, apart from a firewall. If you can log into the forums, your account isn't malfunctioning... and yea... tough luck :-D

I did. I assumed it was a popup blocker, so I told him how to fix that. If it didn't work, he would post saying 'there is still a problem' and I would continue to help.
If you find forums where helpful, kind people are not the majority, you will find me fixing a lot of the problems. Somewhere in the Maya message boards is a guy who couldn't get a spline IK to correctly form a bending cable. I went and, with no knowledge whatsoever, suggested to him what to do. He asked me how, so I went and I learned how to use spline IKs and showed him what to do. The final result was inherently complex, but it worked.
The point is that you guys are so helpful that for once I don't need to be the one to go to. Also, FireFox is awesome.

... so he had a problem with Spline IK's, you went and learned it and then told him how to fix his problem? o.O Something tells me it couldn't have been that hard. Or this person was an incredible idiot. Or you're an incredibly fast learner. Or a combination of the three.
