For all you poker fans:
The main event final table is tonight (and is currently underway). This year was the first year where they are airing the final table live on PPV. My friend ordered it, so I went over to watch some of it, and it was just as I thought it would be: far different from what you see on regular TV. So many more hands are played than you think. Just to give you an idea, I stayed and watched it for 5 hours, and in that time, only 3 people were eliminated (out of 9). They expected it to last for another 6-8 hours. The bright side: Everyone who made the final table made at least 1.5 million dollars with 11.7 million going to the winner. :O
I'll post who won tommorow.

PPV? Damn.
I wonder how much money you've got to bribe them with to get an audience seat or two.

To order it on PPV it was $25 for about 12 hours of coverage. And anoter reason it's different is because you can't see what cards the players have since it's live. (Too many ways to cheat)

Ah.
Can you hear the goings-on at the table? Are you viewing the exact same video as usual, minus the card display pane?

It'll be aired on ESPN in a few months, I believe. Then I can see what cards they had!
Oh, and I guess I won't say who won, because people will get mad I spoiled it.

Yeah, please don't tell. That ruins the entire point of watching it in the first place.

Too late for me, seeing as my newspaper shouted it out all over the place.
As did ESPN.
