It's original definition was "Laughing out loud" (also written occasionally as "Lots of Laughs"), used as a brief acronym to denote great amusement in chat conversations.

XD:A symbol with X being the eyes and D being the mouth, to make a seeming of the person having squinched eyes and a mouth wide open laughing


XP:An emoticon that signifies "laughing really hard while sticking out the tongue."

SA:Stick arena (the very popular Xgen game)



Noob: is meant as an offensive term towards someone who is not nessicarily new, and quite often is directed at someone that is |somewhat| experienced but at the same time stupid/disruptive and/or totally incapable of learning.

Newb:A term used to describe a inexperienced gamer/person/etc. Unlike a noob, a newb is someone who actually wants to get better.

I remember seeing another thread like this, it's a lot better. Because there is a lot more.

Urban dictionary is a good way to find the meanings of internet slang, you can find the meaning of Choft there too.
