I was never really interested in the Matrix series. I'm not a big movie person, though, so whudeva.

Ditto that. I've seen the movies, but I'm certainly not what you may call a "fanboy"

Did anyone else read this and nealry explode from laughter??
I love the first movie but the second two don't really carry the mood over. Their good there just not the same as the first.

First was good, second was ok, and I thought the third one just sucked. I mean, all those sentinels were conveniently flying in a straight line at that guy in the mech, and the ones that he didn't shoot did not attack him, they just flew backwards and went in the stream again.

The first one was awesome, the second one only had one good fight scene, and the third was spectacular!

The third was a complete ripoff. They had virtually no original content. The lobby fight was completely mutilated by enemies who walk on ceilings rather than run against walls and do cool flips. No, they actually stand on ceilings. The obligatory bullet-time kick was pretty much cut and pasted (or at least that's what I thought). Everything cool came from the first one. The only real cool thing about the third movie was the attack on zion. That was done quite nicely.

And I don't think I need to even explain how horrendous that ending was. Sorry for any spoilers, but the machines are close to erradicating free humans, and then the stupid machine keeps a deal and acts all human-like after Neo defeats Smith. That really fits into the image of machines who use human life as nothing but a battery.

And it's not like the architect could simply delete and reprogram the matrix and eliminate smith. Gah! THat movie irritated me so much. Sorry for any spoilers. Go see the movies anyway. The ending really isn't what you should see it for anyway. And no matter how many times you see it, you won't understand it anyway. No one does.

:-D

My favorite two quotes are both from the first: "Don't try to bend the spoon, realize there IS no spoon" and "Weapons. I need lots of weapons." Or something to that extent.

I disagree.

The fight between Neo and Smith was another good part of the third movie.

And what's so bad with a machine keeping its word?

The fight wasn't bad, it seemed a bit overdone, but then again, it's the matrix we're talking about. And a machine keeping its word just doesn't fit the entire image that they've made of the machines.

Yeah, they made the machines look tough, but I don't think they ever gave the hint that the machines were liars.

Another Great Matrix Quote:

"Why do you fight? Do you believe you are fighting FOR something, for more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is? Do you even know?"
