Problem 1: Is it possible to make an object, when on top of another object, make just the covered part see through?
Problem 2: Is there a guide and/or easy way to animate a person talking?
Problem 3: Is there a guide for different hand positions?
Dang it, I forgot an important question! Oh well, these 3 are important also.

For #1, you could make the top object made up of tiny little 1 pixel MC's! Then have each one's alpha go down when it comes in contact, and else, it's 100%. Sure, it'd take you forever, and sure, there's probably an easier way...But I definitely think you should do it like this!

I have an idea for #2.
make a bunch of lips in defferent talking positions(I.E. one open, closed, yelling ect).
turn them each into grahpics
and place the correct one corresponding to the speech over the mouth.
u just keep switching the lips everytime people are talking.

I've tried that before, it works but it takes FOREVER to animate well.
I've heard toon boom studio has a built in feature that can [opposite of lip-sync] automatically...

1. Not really. What exactly is the effect you're trying to achieve? There may be a workaround.
2. Clever camera angles. :D
Otherwise you get to do it by hand. It's not too bad once you get the hang of it, but it's certainly not much fun.

1) I'm trying to get eyes on a face that are covered by eyelids, so if I shut the eyelids the eyes can stay the same size but disapear.
2) Sorry, not good enough. :-p

Why not just put the eyelids on a layer above the eyes?

Because I want them to be very thin, because I'm using a face gradient an so it'd be hard to make them thicker unless I use big lines, which wouldn't look very nice.

for problem one just make the part you want to make seethrough a movie clip and then put something like _alpha = 0 or _alpha -= 1 if you want to fade i made an example its kindof slow though:

you can also press rleft then right to restart(it was a test of something else origionally)
