I watch it. It is actually a good show, most of the time (sometimes not)

Most of the Catholics I know say that it isn't for kids, just because they could misinterpret a lot of the jokes. (ie, Homer laughs at Flanders for praying before he goes out, the adults/mature people laugh because Homer's a jerk, but the kids laugh because Flanders is a dweeb, so it sends the wrong message)

I watch it sometimes. I like most of the episodes I see, though most of what I've seen are the early-middle stuff.

Well, lemme just go ahead and say, yes I watch the Simpsons, then let me say, I am obsessed with them. In fact, I have seen every episode to date, and everyone atleast twice(except the new halloween, and season premier). I can also do Ralph Wiggums voice pretty well. I do think that the Halloween episode wasnt all that great, but it was just one slip up. The animations just get better and better, I think they are using flash for them. Ask me almost anything about the Simpsons and I bet I could give you an answer too.

To answer JoeyG's post. Yes, many people of the Christian/Catholic faith (Simpsons are Christian) find it attrocious. Actually however, the Simpsons displays religion more than any other show. Yes, sometimes religion is mocked, but usually it turns out good. Let me refer to "Homer the Heretic" in which Homer gives up going to church and feels it is better to stay home while the rest of his family goes. Yes, this is somewhat mocking religion, but everyone learns their lesson. One week, while staying home alone, reading a magazine in his robe and bear slippers and smoking a cigar, Homer falls asleep. The cigarette eventually catches the whole house on fire. Not knowing what to do, Homer panics and then passes out due to smoke inhalation. Who comes to the rescue? No one other than the local Jesus, Ned Flanders. Homer learns that he should go to church and worship. So, you see, it all happens for the better.

Yeah, well they are in fact going in a bit of a downhill spiral, but still good a lot of the time.

They are definetely the only show out wherein they goto church, there is a churchy guy, etc.

Bravo, Bandit. Bravo. Have a waffle. Clearly a post of such thought and magnificence deserves something as warm and golden as a waffle.

Anyway, 16 seasons is crazy. Does anyone know if they've had to change any voice actors for the main characters?

JoeyG

Doesn't sound like it. They voice actors who leave probably have to play a 'dying' show, wherein their charcter dies. That might've been what happened with Bleedin' Gums Murphy.

Just guessing there.

Nobody cares.

Not even EMC.

Quit whining, no one asked for your opinion on EMC's posts. If you don't want to read them, then don't post a reply in which you quote them. That doesn't exactly do anything to support the statement you're making.

Dark. I was not making fun of EMC. It was a joke from Spammerland.. in a thread called "Hatred Thread". Stop thinking that I am doing everything hurtfully. It was a joke.. Not even directed towards you.

Matter of fact, here is that thread. Which you posted in. Get off my case.

That's good. I can't stand it when shows noticebly change voice actors or actors in general. Yay for Simpsons.

Thanks, Joey.

Bleeding Gums Murphy and Dr. Marvin Monroe both died off after a couple of seasons simply because the people who voiced their characters where getting sick, and eventually they died. Also, with a show like the simpsons, you couldnt simply kill the character off that is voiced by an actor leaving, because most of the actors play about 10-20 characters.

It doesn't say it in an episode.. NBC has more respect for him than to make fun of him. But since you are doubting me, I have an article.. just to prove it.
