"the secret wars" in the comic book series. Spidey isn't venom, he only has a black suit
that doesnt make him venom.

Venom is the creature created by the symbiotic realationship between eddie brock and an alien that needs a host to survive. The alien originally was attached to peter parker and manifested itself as a suit and extra layer of protection. Peter got rid of it when it began to take control of him.
