Are any of you in a band?

I'm not although I was making up a song and playing it with some other people. I also have a friend who is in a band, he plays the guitar and there are a couple of guitarists in the band plus a drummer.

So how about you guys?

I want to start a band, but no one in my town plays drums. So either I teach someone or learn them myself.

I'm going to be in the second one I've joined soon. The first one got the opportunity to have their first and last concert in front of 1000+ people. The lead singer wasn't reliable and the drummer wasn't very good, so we broke up. I played the guitar for them.

The next one is going to conist of two guitarists, a bass, and a drummer, but we have to teach one of my friends to play backup guitar more fluently before we play any real gigs.

I was in a pretty sucessful metalcore band for 2 years.. (Bass)

Now I am doing bass for a rock band and vocals for a deathmetal/metalcore band.

i play abit of keyboard by myself. not really a band. but i play and i sing *to myself* so i guess i kind of am.

Me and my friends started a band recently. We dont have a name yet though...

I play the bass. I play pretty much every instrument, but I play the bass in our band. We don't have a name yet either. I also write every song we have done so far because I have the most talent, and I am a musical genius (I didn't give myself that title.). We don't have a singer either. Our guitarist was supposed to do it, but he wimped out. "I don't like the sound of my voice on tape!" I also am the only one who commits to anything. I had never played the bass before in my life, but I went out and bought one anyway, and tought myself to play. And I went out and got a $400 recording studio type thing, and my friends don't even call to schedule a practice.

I am also planning on playing with my friend who plays the drums. I'm going to play guitar, and possibly add in me playing the bass later. I was hoping to make it sort of an experimental/alternitive rock group. We both have a lot of talent, so it might work out pretty well. I also live right near this person, so he could bring over his drum kit and record at my house.

I'm in a band of sorts.
We have 2 guitarists that can also play bass, 1 bassist, 1 drummer. And the drummer's parents who put up with us rocking out in their basement.

Yea I play drums and write a lot of the music and theres two gutiarists and a bassist and the guitarist sings. We're all pretty serious about music so thats cool. the guitarist needs an amp though because his blew up so right now hes playing through his PA.

yeah dawgs i'm in an instrumental rock band because no one can sing in high school. it's all screamo and stuff and we don't like screaming. I play synthesizer. it's fun... we haven't done anything big but it's just enjoyable... that's what being in a band should be abouutt

Sweet. What kind of synthesizer do you use?

I'm in two bands. Ones a classic rock/modern rock/blues band. I'm lead guitar and lead vocals. And the other one is an acoustic act, just me and a friend playing bluegrass and singing. Neither of them have done much yet we have recording equipment and we've done a few originals...
