I love Family Guy!

I prefer Family Guy. It keeps me laughing. I know American Dad is interesting, but it just isn't as good as Family Guy.

Family Guy is vastly superior. I don't watch either on a regular basis, but I pretty much can't stand American Dad.

South Park opened my eyes, Family Guy is written by Manatis who move idea balls down these tubes in an idea tank and thus a family guy joke is formed, So I prefer American Dad.

They show American Dad on Adult Swim only on Sundays.

Meaning they hate American Dad.

Meh, I don't really love either of them.

American Dad is awful, though. Family guy can be clever sometimes. It'll usually make me laugh.

It's essentially the same show, except:
Peter is a gun-nut beefy guy.
Lois is a stupid blonde.
Chris is a nerdy little guy.
Meg is a liberal activist.
Stewie is a goldfish.
and Brian is an alien.

It's the same humor and writing style. Only characters are different and the plots are suited to the new characters.

Those games have been remade so many times it's not even funny.

Family guy destroys American Dad. I only like one thing in it, and i shall quote it now.
That raccoon was on a long train to death, and I told the conductor to skip a few stations on the ...Ahh, I shot it in the eye.

They're basically the same thing just with different characters...same jokes...even the characters aren't all that different other than appearance-wise...Family Guy gets my vote though...

Quite right and it's made by the same person Seth MacFarlane I think.

They are made by the same person, Seth Mc Farlane...and its so obvious...even the animation is the exact same. They both have the same humour in them. Family Guy is better though because it done all the jokes American Dad does, it just did them first.

Family guy... I just cant find a damn channel that shows it any more

I used to watch it on Sky One, then when Sky One stopped showing it, I watched it on Paramount Comedy... but now they have stopped showing it :(
