Over the past few years(primeraly 2004-today) David Ortiz of the red sox has been absolutly incredible in clutch situation. If my count is right, than he has had 9 walk off hits with the red sox. If you think that there is a more clutch hitter, from today or the past, pleas tell why

Papi is a monster, I remember the first year of his red sox days he couldn't hit a home run and everyone called him Juan Pierre because of it. Now, he is one of the best players in the game. He is probably the best clutch hitter i've ever seen.

Absolutely. There is nobody I'd rather have in a clutch situation than David Ortiz.

He's in that unique group of hitters that actually seems to get better when the game is on the line. He's possessed up there. You said it yourself, 9 walk-off hits with the Red Sox. I wouldn't call him the best all-around hitter, but absolutely the best clutch hitter.

Might as well walk off the field, it it's in a game winning clutch situation.
