How do I get the infamous mosquito or "Teen Buzz" ringtone onto my cellphone? You know, the one that is undetectable by adult ears, but teens and children pick up clearly. I have a Cingular/Samsung phone, I downloaded the "mosquito" but when I send it to my phone via email I get a message saying one or more of the components were deleted by the MMS App. because it is to big.
How can I compress the file and keep it in an .mid format?
EDIT: XCASH reward to whomever tells me how to do it, provided it works of course!

That download doesn't work for me. Also, does it really work? I mean, can teens hear it and not adults?

It worked for me. I could here it but several 'subjects' I tested it on that were over 20 couldn't here it. I had it on my Ipod, so now I want it as my ringtone.

Can you upload your MP3 file so I can listen? I can't find it anywhere.

Limewire, search for the title as "Teen Buzz".

The download worked for me just a few minutes ago.
I can hear it, and I'm 19. But I saw a 'review' of it and there were reports of 52-year-olds hearing it.
It's gotta vary from person to person.

That is the safest ringtone for teens with cell phones during class.

Sign on to your IM client, I'll send you a converted and compressed version.
It still wouldn't really work in class. Or at least at my school. The other students always laugh when a cellphone rings, so a teacher would get it, unless he told a joke at the same time.

That's probably your problem right there. It's an mp3, so you need a cell phone that can play mp3's as ringtones.

It does. However, the majority of older people can't hear it, whereas the majority of younger people can. Usually things aren't 100% true.
If you need to convert any sound file into a different format, use wavepad: http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/masters.html

I can hear it faintly. I have to put my ear to the speaker and blast it. I dunno, I put it on my iPod and I'll try it on my car's speakers tomorow morning.
I can hear it fine, but after a few seconds it seems to just fade into the background. I don't think it would catch my attention as a ringtone.
I DLed it to iTunes, its 8 seconds long. My mom said she could hear it. How can I possibly transfer this to my cell?
Yeah, my mom could also hear it. So I don't feel like going through the hassle of putting it onto my cell.

The funny thing was, I actually uploaded this sound to my PSP last week.
I brought it to class, played it, my english teacher couldn't hear a thing. But by the looks of it, my classmates we're ready to throw their books at me.
<_<
I guess it just must vary from person to person.

Here's a thought! Instead of having some retarded ringtone put your phone on vibrate, or better yet, turn it off! Who do you need to talk to in the middle of class, plus, if someone calls are you going to answer it anyways?
A bunch of retards you are.

*Repeats the above*
I mean, even if the teacher doesn't catch the ringtone, s/he'll probably notice you talking anyway.

You can't convert a mp3 to .mid. Simple as that. Unless your phone can playback an actual song from a CD or something as a ringtone, you aren't going to have this one.
Flat out, it won't work.

Well, it's a safe ringtone to have if you forget to put the damn thing on vibrate. I always forget it's still on loud, and my dumbass friends call. I love detention.

Then, turn it off.
Every morning when you go to put your cell phone in your pocket or wherever you put it, put it on vibrate or turn it off. If you remember hard enough and do it for a week, it becomes habit and it easy to remember.

thats exactly what i do. when school ends, i take it out and turn it on.
my friend always has his IPOD out in the middle of school though. Theres this one teacher who doesnt care if you listen to it as long as you do your work.

But I was saying "just in case". I've been trying to set a habit to put the thing on vibrate, it's just not foolproof, it being a habit.
Plus, it's be cool to have a ringtone that's inaudible to some people, anyways. A novelty of sorts.

Paul, the last time I checked, putting a ringtone at 18000Hz is less geeky than having a star wars toys collection of 22 toys.
I shouldn't have reccomended you to this site.
