Well I just finished watching something on the Discovery channel. I believe it was called "The Parallel Universe." It discussed the Big Bang theory, the string theory, and ended with the M-Theory. I never heard of the M-Theory before and I found it to be quite remarkable. It described how the Big Bang happened, where all the matter in our universe was from, and how, with this theory, multiple universes are possible. The M-Theory, also known as Magic/Mystery/Matrix/Membrane theory, described that in the 11th dimension each galaxy was a like a sheet. These sheets were moving and were rippled. As they collided a "Big Bang" would occur. Thus creating more universes/galaxies, each with it's own laws of physics. Each membrane or universe that exists is different. Some may be highly unstable and others may be able to support intelligent life. /ramble Why I posted this, I have no idea, and it's late, so half of what I just typed is probably incomprehensible.

Here is a link to a Wikipeda article on the M-Theory. I don't think it describes it too well though, the Science Discovery Channel >'s All.

So, what are your thoughts?

Very cool, but since my mind cannot comprehend this subject matter I will go commit suicide.

Thank you thank you thank you. I'm reading the article right now.

I would look for more articles on the internerd, but I'm too tired. If anyone else has any more information, please, post it here.

Weird, we just watched a video about this yesterday in class. Very interesting stuff.

Each universe with its own laws of Physics? That's very fascinating.

I read about that in Discover magazine a few months back. Pretty interesting stuff. However, the ripples of the parallel dimensions would have to occur very slowly, otherwise, our universe wouldn't have existed for as long as it has.

Sorry but I only belive in three universes Heaven earth and hell. however, I would like to know more about this, ive heard a little about the basic string theory before, but wikipedia dosn't give a very good explanation about the M-Theory. It's always fun to listen about.

Well in theory there are an infinite amount of parallel universe.

did you mean there are an infinite amount of parallel universes.
or there is an infinite amount of parallel universe.?

I said in theory. Our current minds of science only go so far as to know for real.

Yeah thats another thing, since there is realy not much known about the string theory I realy can't say much about it, or to contradict against it. Thats why Id like to know more.

Yeah, I saw that last night too.

Very interesting theory, It does seem a little farfetched, but it's reasonable.

I saw that production last year. Pretty cool I suppose.

Wow.
The concept is just amazing.

This is the first time I've heard of that theory. The string and big bang ones are nothing new, but the string theory allows for multiple universes as well. It makes sense, but I'm not sure if all the mathematics would allow this one to be possible.

just wondering, how does that theory allow for universal expansion? And if you reached the "end" of one universe would you transfer into another or just cease to be? This allows for some pretty weird stuff to happen.

I don't know why I just remembered this, but has anybody else heard of a theory, not really dealing with multiple universes but faster than light "communication" called the "Interconnected Whole"? The M Theory just reminded me of that one for some reason.

A few of these theories would lead to loopholes in our current universal paradoxi (I don't know the plural of paradox). Like a hole in the Grandfather Paradox would be that when you travel back in time, you're traveling to the past of a DIFFERENT universe, hence allowing you to kill who your grandfather was in one universe, but in the other he could be somebody totally different. I don't expect many of you to understand much of that.

If this M Theory is right, then that is some pretty whacky stuff. I mean, the idea of a universe where anti-matter is the dominant form of matter is strange enough, so this theory says that and more is possible. Sounds like fun to me.

And before I forget, to answer your question flip, anything can be considered infinate if don't have the capabilities to measure such a large or small amount.

i think the m-theory is better than the string and the other long-word theory.

are you taloking about th antimatter?
