Yes, you heard me. I'm leaving forever. Or until next Saturday, whichever comes first. I'm placing my bets on Saturday, but everything's possible. In the meantime, I'll be spending a week in Rome with my class. Kick ze butt. I could meet the Pope. Who knows, I might give him a condom just out of spite. Or I'll steal him and make him my personal dancing monkey. But i think I have more chances of stealing a guard and turning him into a personal dancing monkey. He might be able to dance a little more than the pope, now that I think about it. Besides, people will start wondering where the pope went. But no one cares for a guard. They're all swiss anyway. Probably all holy, like their cheese. *ommegs for horrendously unoriginal play on words*
Or I'll go look at rome and forget the entire idea. Swiss people might not even be able to dance, so it's not worth the risk, really. So until never, or next Saturday. Of course, next Saturday is relative, meaning it could technically be forever. Maybe they'll get rid of Saturday and sell it to an alien race in an attempt not to be wiped out. Imagine that. What if the bus doesn't pick us up, as there's no more Saturday it can come on? I hope those Aliens don't come anytime soon. If they do, they better come to Rome. Then they could steal the pope and turn him into a dancing monkey. Literally. Then look at where we'd be. God would communicate with us through an effing monkey that not only dances but would also be several galaxies away. I sure hope there are no aliens, for the sake of all christians.
Now I need to pack. My bus leaves in 2 and a half hours.

Well, he does live in Germany, so its not like hes going from the U.S.
Awesome, I just traveled all over Italy last summer. Rome was probably my favorite. I like the city, so that is probably why.

Somehow I doubt that's true. Lets see here. You live in Canada. You are going to China, France, Italy, Switzerland, Englans, Washington, and some South American country.
Dont you think your family will be just a lil poor to pay for you to go to china, then stay there, then come back, then go to France, stay there, then come back. Then, go to Italy, stay there, comeback, then go to Switx, then stay there, then come back, then England, then stay there, then come back, then go to Washington, then to stay there, then come back, then go to south america, then stay there, then come back. Ya, some how I doubt they will pay for that...

I think he means that those are all different options you can take through the school, if you feel so inclined. My old school used to do that.
Anyways, have fun DR. Try not to incur the wrath of God.

Where did I imply that I was going on all these trips? I just said that you could go on them if you went to my school...

Rome is a very nice city. It's awesome how you can walk through the Ancient Forum!
If you go to Saint Peter's Basillica, you can see the mummified body of a dead pope (no wrappings. You see the complete body!). But that's in the Vatican, not Rome. The Vatican is inside Rome though, so you might go.

Back.
To sum it up witzh a few words: kick butt. Lots of butt. At least Rome does. Sadly, I did not see this mummified pope without wrappings, desptite having been through the vatican museums and basilica. I'm willing to bet that the body belongs to one of the things they won't show the public, like hundreds of other artifacts they have lying around.
Nor did I see the pope. Or aliens who attempted to kidnap him. But I may have simply been too late >_>
But all in all I can only recommend going there. It has something for everyone, really. Thousands of shopping opportunities, including designers such as Armani, Gucci, Versace and so on (for any that can afford it in the future), the forum romanum, coloseum and ostia antica (ancient harbor which ended up not being a harbor, as the ocean moved a good distance due to an earthquake... or a volcano, I don't remember) are for anyone interested in ruins. And it's simply awe inspiring to walk in a city for hours on end, never seeing a building with less than 5 stories. At least if you walk in the older portion of rome, northwest of the coloseum.
