I'm trying to import a flash game into PSP, so far isn't working.
Do I need Flash Lite or other program I don't know about>?

You need to export it as a Flash 6 movie. If you go to your publish settings, you can change the version you are exporting.
I have converted a number of games to PSP, but it's pretty slow. Framerate is really slow with only a few objects, add some rotation, scaling or hittests... and you are really crawling.
Only game that runs well for me is the blackjack game for obvious reasons.
You can check it out with your PSP here :

It's barebones right now, but it works :)

Not the same for me, im running Fuel Leak [ click here (http://www.galactigames.com/play.php?id=184)] on my psp. Its running at the same speed as it normally is ( i've twacked the fps upto 38 ).
The only glitch in the program is that when you hit an object, you get about half a second of crash time. It gets pretty annoying after you hit the first few cones, but in my situation your not supposed to hit the cones, so theres not much lagg time on my psp.
What version of firmware are you running on your psp?
- also -
Do you run your flashlite file locally or do you run it of the net?

I'll have to check that game out on my psp. How do you know it's going 38fps on your psp ?
I have the original PSP, does the flash run better on newer systems ? I've not heard that.
There is no difference in running the file locally or on the net to my knowledge.
I should also note that I don't think PSP player is a flashlite player. It uses version 6, and flashlite 2.0 is flash 6.
Where can I get a version of Fuel leak for the PSP ?

The Fuel Leak version on PSP is still going through tests, we tried the game at 30 frames per second in flash and a test on PSP showed that it lagged while playing.
We tested it again at 38 frames per second and it turned out the same as it would on the pc.
We test the games on two different psp consoles, both running the latest Firmware version (2.70)

How are you achieving 38 fps ?
I haven't seen anyone achieve that, with any game.
I have 2.70. Please send me a version so I can see it run at 38fps, cause I don't believe it. I'd love to see it though.

Wow, that is so addicting and I love the music (goes with the game) I would love it if I could play it on my cell phone or something (even my friend's PSP).

Yeah, FlashLite is for mobile phones and devices.
But I believe the PSP player is completely seperate, it's not FlashLite.
Porting a game to a mobile device is mainly converting it to work with a smaller screen size. You do have memory and performance considerations of course for each device as well.

i might have this game "you got served" it will be crap but (thats the point make bad games for money) you have a guy, he has to dance to beat the other guy (its a turn based game but dancing)
and another one called "blade of conquest"(this name is already copyrighted by www.theflashhouse.com) its a game where you fight monsters and if you win you decievfer some of the puzzle. at the end the puzzle solves a massive clue about a dragon or something.
then (blade of conquest 2) comes out and you have to fight the dragon and his followers.
stickfight. its a true based game (not turn based) where yu fight another stickman.
Ideas and words that all they are.

some dumbass...
come on my games have better graphics than yours sometimes (because half my games are stickmen). your only good graphics are stbfm's drawings (ps your a really good artist stbfm). this is the bit where every one joins in and i quit the forum.

*Looks at Hurl Wars*
Isn't that great... There's barely any animation to it. Their movement is tweens.
(Also, you Double Posted.) Now I have to go do H/W.
The only bad graphic games I have are old ones of mine.

No, loads of people don't like 3QA. He's always mean and brags about how he's better than everybody at flash.
I'm going to make a game for my PSP as soon as my PSP has finished charging and updating.
Are the dimensions 480 x 272?
MaxManning
05-21-2006, 06:51 AM
Yeah, the dimensions are 480 x 272.
I'd say you want to make a game with very little rotation or scaling, and has only a few objects on the screen at once.
Soon to be flash master

yeah, flash player 6 is quite crap.
may i siggest you all go and get adobe flash player 9, it plays processor intensive games alot faster (tested it)

I'm gonna go download the player now.
Flash 6 on a PSP plays alot slower than a PC. Can't wait for 2.80 update. Not sure that Flash is a priority for Sony though.
