I fixed it. I'm not that good with this art stuff.
Please, no more. This is a very rock-orientated board, with not many people liking rap whatsoever. Use the search, there has been plenty of debates.
Hip hop and rap is not skill, it's pre-made hypnotic tunes in the backround with vulgar singing/talking about sex, drugs, money, the ghetto, ect.
Rock requires skill with lyrics, guitar, base, drums, and on occasion piano.

Quit talking out your ass just because you dont like rap or hip-hop. If you ever actually listen to rap you'll realise that the lyrics in it arent just about sex, drugs and the ghetto. And if you ever listen to hip-hop its not like that either, its just like rock only it'll make you feel like dancing rather than hitting someone. Stop stereotyping music, some rap and some hip hop is crap but try listening to some of the better artists and you'll realise the amount of work involved in those songs.

So many things wrong...
Rock very rarely uses piano. Rock lyrics very rarely do much more than rhyme. You spelt bass wrong. And I wouldnt call the basic rock beat, accompanied with the three-chord trick and a matching bass line, skill.

I must disagree. The Eagles used the Piano a lot. A lot. Rock and R & B for me. Yeah, I said it! R & B! Earth, Wind, and Fire baby!
But I guess I partially agree with that upper paragraph. 95% of rap makes the other 5 look bad...

There are occasional rap songs I like, however, those rare diamonds still don't make up for all the mainstream crap.
I like rock and heavy metal.

Yes, rap/hip-hop songs can sometimes be meaningful, but so can rock music, but I think that rap/hip-hop has become a part of the every-day media, and its being stereo-typed by everyone, making society THINK that it's become a bad part of todays world. I do have the arguement that rap/hip-hop does have quite a bit of bad influence, but the good rap/hip-hop have meaning in them, and does take work.
But, coming from a rock loving family, I do love rock music more. It has been altered alot over the past decades, some of it worse, some of it for better, but rock music has kept alot of its values, staying true to it's origional sound.

I like rock so much better than rap.
THis is what i think-Rockers are music-makers. Rappers are music-mixers.
