Where can I find all information about 8th grade science curriculum? I'm tetsing out of the class, and I want to study it first.

I know lots of it is about geology (rocks).

Give me resources please!

Rewards =

100 X-Cash for good link (about part of the curriculem).
250 X-Cash for perfect link (basically, a site about the 8th grade curriculum, which seemes to be similar to what we learn in my school.

Anything else you give me I will give you the amount of X-Cash I see fit.

Thanks,
- Skywire

You do realize that each school has a different curriculum? Or at least each county has a slightly different one. Kids in New York will not learn identically the same things as kids in California in the same grade. You might want to ask in your school... or...

www.google.com

:-D

I do realize that. But hopefully there re some similarities! Which reminds me! I'll add more xcash if it's a link for a school in kansas. :)

DarkReality, that link warrents... 2 X-Cash!

But dude! Kansas forbids teaching evolution? Just to bring back old memories of my standpoint on this: stupid conservative religious fanatics :-)

Seriously though, 8th grade apparently deals with evolution and heritage among genes and some energy questions. Didn't find anything on minerals/rocks/geology, so you really might want to check with your school, they'll probably have a curriculum overview-

School = Monticello Trails Middle School, USD 232. Here, I'll copy and paste the syllabus.

Oh no! :( They deleted all the teacher web pages from last year.

Darn.

Here's some stuff though:

Gems
Identifying Minerals
Organic Compounds
Mining Minerals
Composition of Rock
Igneous Rock
Sedimentary Rock
Metamorphic Rock
Rock Formations
Earth's Story
Relative Dating
Absolute Dating
Looking at Fossils
Geologic Time
Plate Tectonics
Composition of the Earth
Tectonic Plates
Faults
Mountain Building

But don't try and look any of it up... I'll just research it myself.

I'm testing out of 8th grade science this summer. So I won't have to do it in school next year (if I pass the exam).

Alright, I'm oging to look up the rest myself.

DarkReality, you can have... say... 100.

Lep, 20 becaue I already said I'd do the rest myself, and because the link wasn't very helpful.

I'll pay you in 3 days when I have the money.

Well, my 8th grade science class was more remembering definitions and dates of discoveries than actual science. Hopefully you have a semi-intelligent teacher. :?

My 8th grade science teacher was insane, I think we made her that way. The year after I was in her class she pushed a desk into a kid and then disappeard, our school district can't find her to take her to court.

Hah! That's so awesome! Runaway teacher! >_<

Our eigth grade science teacher kept calling me Sauerkraut... something to do with my last name being Sauer...

he scared me... a lot. He always had this grin on his face... this goofy sort of "Hyuck" grin >_<
