How does technology change the surface of the earth

I'd probably say that our use of technology allows us to redistribute resources on the surface of the earth. We irrigate, bringing water to deserts, we chop down trees and ship the wood to factories which then send its products world wide, we pollute, burning oil buried far away, producing toxins elsewhere. Its not like technology makes something from nothing, we just use it to move things around, whether by accident (pollutants) or on purpose.

heres another one for u mr. Executive person if thats your real name open pit mines really chop big holes in the surface for the earth as well as we dam off rivers creating new lakes basicly i want to know why scientest are worred about an astroid hitting the earth because either we are going to wip it out our selves or eventuly there is not going to be enough CO2 in the air so the plant will turn into a grait grass land then into a desert and end up looking like mars but that wont happen for another billion years and it also dosnt have much to do with your topic i was just board

i would say that technology from humans destroys the beauty of the Earth and causes it inhabitable for many plants and animals near citys and towns, but then again we do need the technology, how else would we be at the top of the food web

nukes explode above the ground for a reason, making a hole is bad, why waste the destructive force making a big hole where you lready leveled everything? making a big radius of destruction is good, so the bombs explode so that the destruction spreads outward, not downward. Look at hiroshima, the ground didn't change all that much.

I jsut meant it for an example. and the nuke does change the surface, nuclear fallout prevemnts stuff from growing properly

they blow nukes several hundred feet above the ground (i think it is closer to 1 km) to improve the range of damge. The biggest nuke ever built and test (it was also the last nuke ever used) was called the zar (i think that is how it is spelled) and was made by the russians. Long live mothe russia, god i am going to get killed arnt I, eh i never ment that
