Hi everybody!

Here's a poll. Do you think the Director MX 2004 is better to make game or is it Flash MX 2004? Well, if you not have these program you don't need to vote

Hmmm... shockwave is more powerful, but harder to work with.

I've never actually used Director, so I don't really know. I do like Flash though :)

I'm the same as Shadow25. Never tried Director, but I know its much much more powerful. It is meant for 3D games (well, thats what it's capable of). I would recommend if you were new to the whole flash thing to stick with MX.

But they run really slowly and are impractical.

i made a 3d game in flash. i posted here in this forum and it didnt run slow at all. mind you it wasnt some vast game but it didnt lag down like you guys are talking. i havent used director but i imagine it would be a pain in the butt to learn. i have a hard enough time with flash.

Yes, but it's pseudo-3D. No ray-tracing or wireframes involved.

That's been done in flash, but no one's taking it past a single object. Flash is too slow.

Some 3d stuff's been done in Flash by Strille which is pretty great and very fast
