It wasn't the PSAT, since they're changing the SAT's they tested the new one on us.

I think I did good except for one section I ran out of time.

i'll tell you all how I did when I get the results.

Anyone else take this thing?

i took a psat a while back. got something around 1200. good enough. unfortunately, now i'm getting a bunch of annoying colleges sending me junk. unless they're gonna give me a full scholarship, i don't care about them.

Actually, there are the provincial government exams, (grrr, stupid government standardized tests). But they don't affect your application to university all that much.

my brother got a perfect SAT but the best place he got in was Cornell university

so a perfect doesnt get you in anywhere

Wow, he must be smart to get a perfect.

I STILL haven't found out how I did on this SAT deal.

Indeed, beer at 19! :D

Caprarioreed25... when you're in one of those situations when you run out of time, just guess, you at least have a percent of a chance of getting it correct, and that is sure better than .0% :)

wat i would do wen u start the test is skip all the questions u dont noe and do the ones u do noe then do the ones u dont noe and if u almost run out of time make an educated guess!

Educated guess, write anything. :)

I live in england we only have 3 goverment tests that we are forced 2 take then we have A lvls and O lvls then in collages its a 1st a 2:1 or a 3rd

No offense, but...VERY bad idea on the SAT.

On the SAT, getting a right answer adds points, not answering doesn't affect your score, and answering incorrectly induces a negative score. Unless you are ridiculously lucky, you're commiting test-suicide when you randomly guess on that thing. In fact, the "+ for right, 0 for none, - for wrong" system, I believe, was to prevent people from guessing as such. Tests are for seeing how knowledgeable you are on a subject, anyway, not how lucky.

u see on all otlher multy gusse test if u are running out of time random anwers arent a bad thing because worng anwsers dont effect your score

I wouldn't say all others, as I have taken 2 others (Math and Science UIL tests) that also subtract points for incorrect answers. I never use random guessing unless I'm desperate for an excellent score and time is nearly out. I like to take tests as truthfully as I can, and to get the most truthfully results, guessing isn't the way. But I suppose if people like to see the highest score they can get, they can guess...I just personally do not like to.

like i said make a educated guess. Put at least a little thinking into each question
