sex pistols are good. the clash sucks in my opinion. they aren't what has come to be the label of "punk" as we know in my own opinion. that's not the reason I do not like them, though. My favorite punk band is INDK

Actually... those 3 really are all the punk there ever was... real punk was shortlived.

I like Blink 182, NOFX, Antiflag, Dead Kennedys, Pennywise, Lagwagon aaannd SUNBÖRN. Well I like Sunbörn the most, at least the band members. they are local punks (at least 2 of 5) and good friends.

green day is my number 1 fave band. Some more are NoFX,less than jake,blink 182,and mest isnt really that punkish but i still like em. Omg like 3 people said they like avril lavine!!(however u spell it) argh she annoys me big time and not cause shes on mtv and all that crap. Her songs arnt punk at all.

I love The Clash!

Anti-flag, Black Flag, Dropkick Murpheys, The Offspring, Agnostic Front, and Tiger Army (I know about them cause of TopHatMcBabs, whom I thank).

While those bands are punk rock (Except for the Clash, although they eventually stopped being punk), none of them are punk. Punk is a lifestyle, implying that you do your own thing, an anarchist, and are very low-key. Punk only lasted three years (1977-1980), and now it is dead. However, the music that they created lives on in punk rock.

And just for the record, Sum 41 is not punk rock, but they are awesome.

And Avril Lavinge sucks. She is not in the least bit punk.
