Use Game Maker instead of flash?

Game maker makes it really easy to make games, but not animations. I need some simple animation ideas :idea: :idea: :idea:

Is it 3D gamemaker coz I have that. But if you use game maker you can't post it on the net

I prefer to go as basic as I can, to allow for maximum flexibility. That's why I use Flash and not a program designed for a specific purpose, like game making.

I'd really like to learn C++ some day...

yea i agree with the whole only flash thing. i find it much more challenging to build certain things in flash. therefore more fun and aggravating. but i like the challenge using flash brings to the table.

I tried C++ a while ago and from what I remember about it, the coding is remotly simiar to actionscript. I think. The only thing I was able to make was a dos menu thing that played different sounds when a key was pressed. But I made that using the code straight out of the book. :?

I want to make flashs and games but I don't have any thing to make them with. Could any of you tell me where to get one of these game makers or flash things? P.S. I don't want anything that has a Winzip file cause all that stuff just gives me a big headache. :?

Go to macromedia.com (http://www.macromedia.com) and search for Flash MX there. I don't know where to find that Game maker thing though.
