....if they were on his property then they have the right to arrest them, but if not well. plus, that article is obviously biased so maybe we're not getting the full story.

I guess you wouldn't mind me camping on your lawn in the name of peaceful protesting.

Yeah, they were taken away, a whole two people. For being enemies of the state? Or for breaking a local ordinance about camping on the sides of roads.

Considering they were given the option, peacefully, of getting arrested, or simply leaving, this is an atrocity of human rights for sure. Buy the way they were taken to the station and given tickets.. which can be mailed in.. So oppressive!

OH yeah, in case you guys are in denial so hardcore to remember.. Sheehan got the chance to tell it like it is, face to face with Bush. For one brief moment of clarity they remembered something important.

"The 10 minutes of face time with the president could have given the family a chance to vent their frustrations or ask Bush some of the difficult questions they have been asking themselves, such as whether Casey's sacrifice would make the world a safer place.

But in the end, the family decided against such talk, deferring to how they believed Casey would have wanted them to act. In addition, Pat noted that Bush wasn't stumping for votes or trying to gain a political edge for the upcoming election."

The aftermath:

"I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis," Cindy said after their meeting. "I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."

And yet... she's out there still protesting and trying to get arrested.. Generally making a mockery of her Son's sacrifice. Could it be to get attention for her new book? One can only conjecture at that since her 'book signing' was an abysmal failure.

So she had her 15 minutes of fame, her 10 minute talk, and she was finally satisfied with Bush's response. Then she comes back in her spaceship from some other Earth that we apparently don't know exists, and starts this crap again..

Pwned.

That's an extremely biased story.

Protestors can get arrested, for disturbing the peace and possibly inciting a riot. It's happened throughout American history; it's really not a remarkable thing that this group got arrested.
I mean, war protestors back in the day were teargassed. And the government has sent in troops to deal with some protests in the past.

I'm opposed to the Bush administration, but that editorial is pretty uninformed and over-dramatic.

That's rerarded. That's not the full story. Terrorists would probably still be destroying stuff over here in the U.S. if Bush wasn't president.

No, the full story of every egotistical ####### in any country is that:

"If everybody were like us, there would be no problem!"

Right? I can't give specific examples, because my history class does nothing all year, but pretty much anyone with manifest destiny, or really, ever won a war (not started by them). [Not including the Nazis]

George Bush is an idiot. Mothers care too much about their children. End of story.

Unlike Mr. Bush, she has sacrificed a lot for this war. This situation stands to show us how much our lives are worth to our leaders.

Ahem... Cindy Sheehan ISN'T DEAD
She lost her son in a war Bush started
Her son enlisted, loved the military and fought hard for his country.

He wasn't drafted. I pity the person using a military for actually doing something HELPFUL that's a fact it helped. Saddam and his spawn ruled Iraq with no care about the population gassing the Kurds. When Bush gasses the Jews or the Christians or ANYBODY please let me know I'll vote Hillary.
